The cathedral, which was consecrated in 1957, is a double-nave long church in the Gothic style. 50-meter high freestanding bell tower culminates in a copper-clad pyramid. The interior of the church contains some lovely stained glass and is richly decorated with Christian symbols and signs. It is the third church to be built on the site. The Romsdal Museum.
One of the largest and most comprehensive folk museums in Norway, established in 1912. More than 50 old buildings originating from all over the region have been moved here to create typical courtyards of farm buildings, including open-hearth houses, sheds, outhouses, smokehouses and a small chapel.
At Holmarka the museum has a stable which houses the museum’s horse, hens, sheep, and rabbits.
During the Molde International Jazz Festival, the Romsdal Museum is used as the open-air stage for the big outdoor concerts.

Stop At: Atlantic Road, Atlanterhavsveien, 6530 Norway
The famous Atlantic Road has National Tourist Route status. It unites a number of small islands scattered across the Atlantic Ocean. The dreadful road consists of 8 bridges, a few causeways, 4 viewpoints, and even contains several cod fishing spots.
The longest bridge stretches over 260 m and is called Storseisundet Bridge (Storseisundbrua), but also referred to as the «road to nowhere». When you ride up the bridge, at some point it actually seems to end up with a precipice. It is also named a «drunken bridge» due to its twists, arches, and dips. We make a few stops for photos.

We had a wonderful day in Molde with Myla. The area is beautiful, and being able to have a more intimate conversation with a local is much more enjoyable than a tour bus with 40+ people. This was the second day we toured with her. The first was in Geiranger (separate review). Along with riding around beautiful fjords, We rode the Atlantic road, with some photo stops. We also had a stop for about 20 minutes at a beautiful lookout point near the Drunken Bride. In lieu of the main road to Bud, she drove on a side road that had pretty homes with waterfront views. We stopped to see a local fisherman who smokes his own salmon and trout (which we were able to taste). She also had us try Gjetost, which is a local snack. It was a very pretty, enjoyable, and informative tour that is an excellent way to see the area.JOYCE_C
