We loved our Hanging Bridges tour with Goerge so much we returned for another round, this time in the Cloud Forest! It was another wonderful day in nature and we were lucky enough to not only see the stunning scenery the beautiful and intrigeing plantlife, but multiple type of mammals (white faced monkeys, coatis) and birds (hummingbirds) and rare insects (moss mimic stick insect). He always paid attention to us, and if you are open will explain about the area in depht and amazing knowladge! The photos he took for us, and of us are truly a gem, and we will cherish them for a lifetime. If you are in the Monteverde area he should be your go to guide! Truly one of a kind! Amazing! We would give George the highest recommendation. We would give George the highest recommendation. We used him for three tours around Monteverde in February: a night tour on a private reserve, a trip to Curi Canche, and a trip to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. He knows his stuff and readily identifies birds and animals and with a guide’s eye knows where to look and how to spot them. His English was perfect. He carries a spotting scope that he quickly gets on the target so everyone gets a view. He also gave us a lesson on taking pictures with our phones through the scope. As a local guide he could suggest restaurants in town and his recommendations were spot on. More significant than any of this was his sensitivity to the needs of our party of 4 retirees with varied physical abilities. When one of our party talked about skipping a hike, he found a way to do the tour with a golf cart for her. Another time he split us into two groups so one of our party could see the dwarf forest on the continental divide. When we left for LaFortuna, he gave us the name of a guide there who was just as good as he was. High praise from these gringos.100% recommend a guided nature tour with George! 100% recommend a guided nature tour with George! He is extremely knowledgeable of the native plants and animals. We learned and saw so much for an incredibly reasonable price. We went to Curi-Cancha Reserve for a morning guided 3.5hr walk - he even brought his scope which he expertly set up to focus on various animals and plant species for us to observe. He had a detailed knowledge of the area and helped us locate animals he’s seen recently. He is incredibly friendly and fun and had a good network with the other guides as well which helped us to find even more unique sights! We were even lucky enough to see a Quetzal!! (He’s also a great photographer and took many beautiful pictures of us and the nature which we will surely treasure!)I’ve traveled through the Monteverde area on four occasions, and George is the best guide I’ve ever had. I’ve traveled through the Monteverde area on four occasions, and George is the best guide I’ve ever had. George is an expert in knowing where to find animals and the names of so many birds, reptiles, insects and mammals. I had quite a few “first times” with George - seeing the Trojan (incredible!), so many beautiful birds, spider monkeys, stick bugs and Cordyceps growing out of an insect. George is so passionate about where he lives and you won’t regret spending time with him : )We thoroughly enjoyed our Cloud Forest Walk with George! George of the Jungle was an excellent resource for us in our travels. All appointed tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We loved our night tour of the rain forest & today we enjoyed touring Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. With our tour guide, we saw a sloth, frog, a Toucan, snakes ~ both a venomous viper and a blonde tree snake, and Howler monkeys. We very much enjoyed the tours with them!! Today, lots of spiders, bugs, beetles, very large ants, more monkeys ~ bothe Howler & white-faced monkeys, a lizard, and the rare Resplendent Quetzal. 😮
