Hands down, the best Food/Wine tour we have been on! Chef PJ is not only knowledgeable about the food and wine of the area, but he also knows the people that live there. It was amazing to see him stop the tour to greet a Montmartre local and joke with them. And the piece-de-resistance is the meal he and his wife prepare at his own restaurant, Le Petit Moulin. The beef Bourguignon was to die for! We have already recommended his tour to friends visiting Paris later this year and would seriously think about taking the tour again when we visit Paris again….PJ is the warmest, most compassionate person you could possibly meet. PJ is the warmest, most compassionate person you could possibly meet. He honestly set out to teach you all about cheese, meat and wine. We come from a wine region but still loved every minute he spent on bringing everyone up to speed. What to look for in a label or restaurant, we’re all part of the day. He then spoiled us with glasses of excellent wine and a delicious late lunch. Escargot was the best , as was the beef burgundy.it was absolutely the best day ever. This was hands down the best walking food tour I’ve ever been on. This was hands down the best walking food tour I’ve ever been on. No, you don’t go around eating tons of samples, but what you get is a great, intimate experience with PJ and your fellow guests capped off by a delicious and satisfying meal prepared by PJ and his team at his adorable tiny restaurant, Le Petit Moulin des Mauvais Garçons. PJ truly is a “local celebrity.” He knew everyone and everyone knew him. Friends and various neighborhood figures stop by and you feel like you have been immersed in Montmartre within a span of a few hours. What I thought would be a routine 3.5 hour guided tour turned out instead to be a six hour intimate and unique experience. Yes, I missed my appointed time for the Musee d’Orsay but it was worth it. I highly recommend PJ’s tour, which is a great deal for the one-of-a-kind experience you get.Chef PJ was a treat! We have taken numerous food tours in the United States and none of them even compare! He took us through the streets of Montmartre, sharing personal experiences and tips about shopping for food and wine while in France. We ended up at his restaurant where the party started!...
Chef PJ was a treat! We have taken numerous food tours in the United States and none of them even compare! He took us through the streets of Montmartre, sharing personal experiences and tips about shopping for food and wine while in France. We ended up at his restaurant where the party started! We drank and ate carefully prepared food and wonderful wine. All of our party was full and happy, no need for dinner. The perfect way to start our time in Paris. You can’t go wrong with this tour!!Chef PJ was amazing on our tour of Montmartre! We learned so much. We ate and drank like royalty! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
