We were staying at the KOA. The driver/guide was prompt at 8 am at the KOA to pick us up. The two mile drive in the open air seats at 40 degrees was chilly but everyone was awake when we made it to the Tribal lands. Sandrea our guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had on the Navajo culture. The views of the buttes and mesas from the valley are amazing. Highlight of the trip was or guide singing a Navajo song in the Big Hogan rock formation! It was an amazing experience getting into the tribal park with our guide Sandrea. Good to know that you have to buy a ticket of the park ($8 pp) and to bring warm clothes. It is very cold in the open truck. But the tour was really amazing. It was an amazing experience getting into the tribal park with our guide Sandrea. Good to know that you have to buy a ticket of the park ($8 pp) and to bring warm clothes. It is very cold in the open truck. But the tour was really amazing. In 3,5 hours seeing the wounderfull Monument Valley Navajo tribal park. Sandrea was very kind and shared here love and knowledge of the park and the Navajo people. Our favorite part was our guide, Larry Team. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of information about Navajo history and culture. An excellent tour guide! And of course the area is absolutely stunning.

Larry Team was our tour guide and he is just exceptional!! Not only did he share information about the rock formations and helped us to see the various shapes in them, but he also shared information and stories about the Navajo culture, and guided us when taking pictures. It was extremely informative and so pleasant. The whole park is stunning, but having the incredible chance to tour the backcountry with such an expert guide is simply wonderful and an opportunity of a lifetime. The self-guided tour is great, but by taking this tour you learn so much more about Monument Valley. I highly recommend taking this tour!!
