The tour guide drove at 6-8 mph which seemed a bit too fast for a leisure tour - it was a bit challenging for a biking newbie. However I would tend to recommend the experience.

Beth was an excellent leader. We had already seen a lot of monuments & memorials, but we saw several on this tour that we would have totally missed. We learned a lot and sightseeing by bicycle was very easy. Couple notes: You can do this same tour, with the same company, on a non-electric bicycle (which I believe is less expensive). The terrain is mostly flat so an electric bicycle is not essential in my humble opinion. We were a mix of E-bikes and standard bikes on our tour. I wish I had found and reserved the non-e-bike option to save $$. Somehow I thought this was a 4-hour tour, but it was more like 3 hours...I might have gotten this confused with a different tour?? Also, there was never a 'comfort' stop for restrooms or snacks. We were fine, but I think knowing that in advance might be important for some people. Yes, everything is a bit different during Covid times, but there were several restrooms open along the route but you would have had to figure that out on your own and sprint off from the group. Narration was done at the sightseeing stops, there were no headphones or narration as we were riding (probably for safety reasons). Again, Beth was a terrific guide, we learned a lot. Beth even helped us post-tour in renting a city bike and gave us great recommendations for dinner in Alexandria. Mia's was GREAT! Thanks Beth! From the moment we "mounted up" Emily, our guide, had us excited! Our private tour group of 8 had no problems with traffic or crowds as she knew exactly where to go and managed us all quite nicely. Her knowledge about each monument or memorial was outstanding. Thank you DC Bike and Roll!My wife and I did the e bike tour with Lorna who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour took place even though there was only 2 of us participating, this is a brilliant way to traverse the city and see a lot in a relatively short period of time. Would highly recommend.
