It's only the most recognized monumental carving in the United States. You wouldn't want to miss that would you? Come see Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt & Lincoln in this artistic masterpiece. Learn about the men behind the concept, and the workers that made it happen.

Stop At: Custer State Park, 13329 US Highway 16A, Custer, SD 57730-8351
Ready for some wildlife? How about mega-fauna like the American Bison? This is our best shot at seeing these massive and beautiful creatures on the wildlife loop of Custer State Park. Over 1500 Bison exist here, along with pronghorn, antelope, big horn sheep, ferrets, prairie dogs, and a variety of birds. We'll stop at the visitors center before proceeding into the Wildlife Loop Road.

Iron Mountain Road was said to be impossible to build. Let's see what it's like to drive a challenge accepted. This road goes through the Black Hills, pigtail curves bridges, and tunnels on our way to stunning views. **If booked in winter months, accessibility is based on road closures and weather**

Stop At: Needles Highway, Custer State Park, SD
Threading the eye of the needle is the best part. Find out why they call this the needles parkway and be prepared to traverse a few windy roads and tunnels along the way. Who knows what you might find? **If booked in winter months, accessibility is based on road closures and weather**

Stop At: Sylvan Lake, Custer, SD
Considered the most beautiful lake in the Black Hills, we'll stop here to take it all in. Sylvan Lake is like no other you've seen. Rock formations surround the lake, and trails head out in every direction. Americana at its best! **If booked in winter months, accessibility is based on road closures and weather**

Stop At: Crazy Horse Memorial, 12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730-8900
Enter the culture and history before settlers arrived in the scene. This monument is dedicated to one of the most important indigenous people of the area, Crazy Horse. A courageous, and complicated warrior, he truly left his imprint upon this land. It's a fascinating story that must be told. let's visit the monument, watch a movie and make out way through some of the most interesting Native American artifacts of this land.
*On certain days during the winter the museum is closed. In this case, we will view the mountain, tell the story of Crazy Horse as well as the carver of the Mountain*

Betsy and I spent 9 hours with Daniel who provided the best tour that we have ever experienced. Daniel made sure that we saw all of the main sites including Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and the Crazy Horse monument and Museum. Over and above that he made sure we were given a history lesson on the entire area including the Native American culture, and the individuals who made the entire experience come together. As people who travel frequently we can say that Daniel made this tour one that will remain with us for a long time. Daniel arrived promptly at the designated location for pickup. He was well prepared and made sure we knew he was flexible with the day's itinerary. The tour took us to Mount Rushmore where we watched the short movie and picked up some souvenirs. Daniel may several suggestions on what to see and also kept up informed about how long each leg of the tour would take. He drove down several scenic and wildlife drives. Along the way he told many stories that made the experience richer. The highlight of the trip for us was the drive through Custer State Park, which rivaled some of the national parks we've seen. Daniel included a nice sit-down lunch at an excellent eatery that was very tasty. All in all, an excellent all- day adventure and we will look up myxoadventures again for our next tour when we return.erikabS6214NY

Daniel’s extensive knowledge about the area’s history and the plant and animal life was impressive. It wasn’t a cookie cutter “tour” - it felt more personalized and immersive. We liked that we got to experience so many places. All were great. Daniel was very informative, friendly, outgoing and answered all of our questions. He let us tour at our own pace. We would highly recommend Daniel for anyone interested in a private tour. Plus he makes a great picnic lunch.

What a great introduction to the Black Hills! We are first time visitors and were amazed at everything we saw and learned about the area. Our tour guide, Daniel, was extremely knowledgeable and easily shared his passion for the area and its people. Great tour and guide. Very warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very comfortable. Always assisting when needed and making stops when we wanted. Great driver and stopped at the best sights for viewing, explaining and pictures. I recommend his tour every time.
