This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
From the meeting point, an air-conditioned tour bus will take your group to Mutianyu, whilst you can sit back and listen to the historical information about the Great Wall that your guide provides. Upon arrival, your tour guide will save you hassle by buying the tickets for you, then drive you to the foot of the Mutianyu Great Wall, instead of making you queue for the shuttle bus. Once you've ascended the Wall, see and climb the impressive defensive watch towers to take in the serene scenery of streams and lush greenery that surround this section of the Great Wall.
After climbing the Great Wall, you can come back to the “Mubus Family” to relax. Located in the center of the Mutianyu scenic area, it is a special lounge area only reserved for the Mubus travelers, offering them with a comfortable place to rest, a restaurant with local specialties, beer and coffee. When you have buffet lunch on the viewing platform, you will appreciate a very magnificent scenery by the intersection of the two sections of the Great Wall here, Mutianyu Great Wall and Jiankou Great Wall which’s well-known “steepest Great Wall of China”. This is a memorable place to take photos.

We went on January 14, it was pretty cold at the beginning. But then climbing up, we stopped freezing and it got pretty hot actually. It's a good trip even in winter or maybe especially in winter! Claire was very helpful, her English is very good. She gave a brief overview of the history and organized the buying of the tickets professionally. Afterwards we had lunch at the restaurant that apparently cooperates with Mubus. For less than 10€ I got a big buffet with decent food. The only thing that could be improved is promoting the toboggan more! Taking the cable car up and down is 120¥, taking the lift up and the toboggan down also costs 120¥. I combined it, took the cable car up, the toboggan down, which was 200¥. But it was definitely worth it! If I hadn't seen the pictures and videos of a friend coming down from the Great wall on a toboggan, I most probably would have missed the experience! Because the lift/toboggan was described as the colder and more expensive experience. I'd recommend to do the lift/toboggan version or the cable car up (100¥) and toboggan down (another 100¥), even though it's more expensive in total. Also if you're young, you can do the whole part of the wall from tower 14, where you arrive, to tower 20 and then all the way back, passing tower 14 again up until tower 1. This sounds way more than it actually is. I did that and still had 30 minutes to eat. They said tower 14 to 20 would take 80 minutes, it took me 30 with taking many pictures. In the 5 hours, if you're young/fit, you can definitely make the whole wall part! So, as a conclusion, they should encourage younger people to do the more adventurous things, that's my only advice :)We booked the trip through “Get your Guide” app, first time for us and usually we don’t take these tours, but on this season we thought that was going to be difficult to reach the Grand Wall by ourselves. We booked the trip through “Get your Guide” app, first time for us and usually we don’t take these tours, but on this season we thought that was going to be difficult to reach the Grand Wall by ourselves. It was great and we were surprised about the professionalism about this service. You meet them at 7 AM, they don’t take your shopping or make you lose your time, they guide you up to the entrance with several options and you follow the route base on your budget and your physical capabilities, later they take you back to Beijing and that’s it. Our guide was Leo, a guy with amazing English, very enthusiastic and very active, so no place for confusions. We got the option with “meal included”, this is done in their very own restaurant, a buffet very well served, very clean and that really worth the additional.Group number family 31 would like to say a big thank you to Fred and driver for a fantastic trip very friendly and professional amazing sites
