Having done a Fat Tire tour of Berlin in 2019, this was the 1st priority on our agenda in Munich. Rearranged from 2020. Ably captained by Bob with 2nd mate Rob, our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) effectively had a private tour as we were the only ones booked last Sunday. What I love about Fat Tire are the guides who share their local knowledge of the city. We got to see things we would never have done on our own, with fascinating verbal information only a local expert could know. So we saw Pep Guardiola's Munich flat (son is a Man City supporter), Hitler's favourite restaurant & a whole host of other brilliant places. 4 hour tour, refreshment stop in the Englischer Garten. I'm pretty poor on a bike but I never felt out of my depth, stressed by traffic. Bikes are very comfortable too. I highly recommend this tour if you want to explore beyond Marienplatz & the main tourist spots.Fun way to see and learn about Bavaria and Munich. Fun way to see and learn about Bavaria and Munich. In town for just two days with friends and had a great entertaining and educational experience. Dan was our guide and expertly paced our ride, shared stories that painted the picture of historic moments and answered questions with the depth of knowledge that went beyond a typical guide. Great memory. This tour was outstanding! We began promptly at 10:30. The guide was welcoming and laid out what to expect. We toured all over Munich. It felt safe to ride on the bike paths and we not only got a history lesson, but saw things we would not have had the opportunity to see otherwise. Stopped for a bite to eat at a Beer Garden and continued on with the tour. A real high point on my travels thru Germany. I would do this tour again.Great tour, biked through some of the main areas of the city and included lunch at a beer garden. Tour guide Ian was brilliant Great sense of humour and knew the city well. Daniel was our tour guide and he was sociable, knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating with our group. Traveling alone around Europe can be intimidating or fulfilling. Daniel and this tour made my first solo trip to Munich extremely rewarding!
