Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had in 20+ years of travelling. This tour really does take you to ‘Hidden Bangkok’ and couldn’t be more interesting, beautiful and delicious - make sure you come hungry! Wat is the most wonderful guide who truly cares about sharing his culture, community and Bangkok’s history with you. His English is excellent and he’s just an all-round great guy who clearly loves his job. This tour is approximately 4-5 hours but is largely on the flat and therefore suitable for most fitness levels, especially with all the wonderful food and cultural stops along the way. You don’t need to be an expert cyclist at all but confidence on a bike most definitely helps. I simply cannot recommend this tour enough - get booking today! And huge thanks again to Wat, see you next year!I expected a scenic tour through the back alleys of Bangkok, on a dirt bike, occasionally stopping off for food or visiting a site. I expected a scenic tour through the back alleys of Bangkok, on a dirt bike, occasionally stopping off for food or visiting a site. The tour does check those boxes but you really have to concentrate on your navigation, while on the bike. The back alleys are riddled with sharp turns, low fences, narrow alleys and merging pedestrian, motorbike and vehicle traffic. The bicycle part of the tour is more or less reduced to transportation that required 100% concentration. There's virtually no time to look around while on the bike because if you do, you're running into something or someone. It's a rural tour to different locations, by way of bicycle. Wat was fantastic. He grew up in this area. And, it's his tour. So, he has a connection to the neighborhood which gave it a personal feel. He's very knowledgeable and speaks very good English. I almost gave this tour 4 stars. I had difficulty navigating on the bike. There was also a Thai/American on the tour. She wanted to practice her Thai with Wat. That's fine, but every time she and he talked Thai, the rest of us were basically excluded from the conversation. But, any good story has trials to overcome. And, in the end I did overcome my difficulties, with the help from the Holy Protection from the Wat Hong Rattanaram Temple water, which I poured over my statue. While I didn't have time to process my surroundings while traversing the back alleys on the bike, I found that my brain was taking the sights in. Later that evening, after the tour was over, I did find myself remembering some of the sights that flew by. It's definitely a different tour. Wat's connection to the neighborhood is what truly makes this a 5 star experience.Omg what a fun way to see off-the-beaten-path Bangkok! Wat is a great tour guide and this is a “must do” activity! We didn't know what we signed up for, but so glad we did! It's a pretty straight forward experience with no time to waste. There is a lot to see, do and eat so get ready for some pretty intense bike riding, tour de Bangkok style... it was our first. time in Bangkok so the sights are not as attainable if we were to go off on our own. The experience of cutting through small alley ways, larger roads, country roads was a hell of an experience.
