From Bangalore it’s a decent drive with the new freeway to Mysore. We spent a lot of time talking to our driver, Shivaraj, who was very gracious in answering our (numerous) questions and guiding us through the market and banana leaf lunch. The guides at the destinations were very knowledgeable and I feel we got a good understanding of historical events as well as details about the architecture and details that make these places special. What we also appreciated was that we now also have photos of our trip (instead of selfies) as the driver helped to take photos. Great trip, recommend it!Shivraj was an exceptional guide with a wealth of knowledge and professionalism. Shivraj was an exceptional guide with a wealth of knowledge and professionalism. During our family trip to Mysuru, which lasted for a day, he knew all the right places to visit, dine and explore, even taking us off the beaten path. Our local acquaintances were astounded by the unique and hidden gems we discovered. Prashant tailored the tour specifically to our needs, which included three young children, yet we still managed to get a comprehensive and enjoyable experience of Mysuru and the countryside on the way.
