Stop At: Washington Monument, 2 15th St. NW, Washington DC, DC 20560
555 Feet tall, this is the largest free standing masonry structure in the world! A monument to the first President and Father of the Country, George Washington. Since 1888 this monument has towered over DC and the surrounding country side.

Stop At: World War II Memorial, 1750 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024, USA
56 granite pillars surround the fountain in this majestic tribute to the greatest generation of Americans who came of age in a time of economic depression, and emerged from this conflict as heroes. Stroll around the grounds and you will learn about different aspects of the war from the perspective of the US which fought in both The Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Dedicated in 2004, this memorial is popular with visitors to DC.

Stop At: Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 5 Henry Bacon Dr NW, Washington DC, DC 20002
A quiet place designed for reflection, this memorial has over 58 thousand names of US casualties from this conflict etched into the black granite panels. Accommodating the wall is the Three Soliders Statue and a memorial to the female nurses who served.

Stop At: Korean War Veterans Memorial, 10 Daniel French Dr SW, Washington DC, DC 20002
Dedicated in 1995, this memorial has a black granite wall facing 19 stainless steel statues. Walking through this memorial can be a powerful experience with its focus on the visual arts.

Stop At: 2 Lincoln Memorial Cir NW, Washington DC, DC 20002
The most iconic memorial in the country. President Abraham Lincoln occupies an almost mythic and revered place in the hearts of Americans everywhere. When it was dedicated in 1922, Lincoln's son Robert Todd Lincoln was a guest of honor. At that point he represented a dwindling group of veterans who still remembered their their onetime leader and statesmen.

Had a very knowledgeable to work guide and enjoyed the tour very much. Beautiful to see the memorials in the evening. Our initial tour was canceled due to severe weather, but they rebooked us promptly. Guide was easy to understand and quite knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.

Also, Eli did an awesome job of finding shady stopping points as it was in the 90s, so that was much appreciated.
