Fantastic day out in the beautiful Sipoonkorpi National Park. We were picked up by the very friendly and knowledgeable Jeff and after a short journey we were at the park. We hiked total of 6km with a spot of lunch en route. Lunch was yum and a beautiful spot. Jeff and Kiia were friendly, responsive and helpful. We bulk booked the day as a group of friends and Jeff picked us all up in a van from our central hotel. It had snowed heavily and we had a lovely slow wander up to lunch and back through a beautiful snow laden forest. We were all pleased with our simple lunch cooked over a fire pit, and everyone was accommodated. There was little to nothing to see of plants and animals unfortunately, under all the snow, but it was still snowing and the atmosphere was magical. We then spent a good while enjoying the traditional smoke sauna and ice-bathing experience before heading back. Everyone had a good time. This was a truly wonderful experience - we were fortunate to have experienced perfect conditions as the heavy snow had fallen the night before but the whole day was idyllic Jeff and Kia were extraordinarily knowledgeable, courteous and kind and everything ran so smoothly. This was a truly wonderful experience - we were fortunate to have experienced perfect conditions as the heavy snow had fallen the night before but the whole day was idyllic Jeff and Kia were extraordinarily knowledgeable, courteous and kind and everything ran so smoothly. The 6k walk through the national park with the snow covered trees was a delight and the open fire cooked local sausages, veg and cinnamon bun delicious. The smoke sauna and ice pools at the end topped the day off with a plomb - an experience that will live in the mind forever - THANK YOUThis was an absolute amazing adventure. This was an absolute amazing adventure. Our guides Jeff and Keya were fantastic. They provided lunch cooked over an open fire, the food was very tasty and very nice. Including hot and cold drinks. At the sauna we were provided with towels and flip flops as needed, our guides thought of everything. They were kind, considerate and very informative. The pace of the walking was at the pace of the slowest person, so no one was left out or left behind. At first I thought this trip was a little expensive, but now I feel the trip was worth every euro, and a bit more. The scenery was spectacular. The whole trip was excellent, I would highly recommend. An amazing winter hike with great lunch. Finished with sauna and ice swimming. Fantastic guides - friendly and informative. Highly recommended.
