In addition, Matt showed us native carvings, back country parks, beaches, and a wide variety of the country surrounding Sydney. If you are looking to see the Sydney area beyond the usual tourist stops, I can’t think of a better way to spend the day! Matt is an exceptional and gracious host, and will design the day around your interests. I can’t imagine coming to Sydney without exploring beyond the city with him. We would have missed so much! From beautiful trails and lookouts, his insightful commentary, a beautiful day to walk on the incredible Avoca Rocks to see Shark Island, and up-close animal encounters, (and many more worthwhile stops) this was The Ultimate Personal Tour. Matt gave us one of the most memorable days we've had in the two weeks we've been in Australia. We originally contracted Matt and arranged a tour in early 2020. COVID hit the world and we had to schedule three times before we finally met up with him on the third try in 2023. But each time we had to change, Matt was very gracious to let us make the needed changes. Traveling with Matt was like traveling with a close friend. He adjusted the stops based upon our interests and what we had already experienced. We especially enjoyed seeing something he had heard about but not had personally sought when we went to find a colony (flock? gaggle? group? camp?) of flying foxes (or maybe known as fruit bats) in a wooded area behind a group of houses. We've never seen anything like this anywhere in the world! The trip was most enjoyable because we saw and experienced many sights and places without having to endure large crowds. Matt really delivers a great experience and we'd recommend him highly! My husband and I had an absolutely amazing day on a personal tour with Matt! He was super friendly, funny and personable! My husband and I had an absolutely amazing day on a personal tour with Matt! He was super friendly, funny and personable! He was accommodating and adapted the tour to our specific interests! I am an animal lover and one of the major highlights was getting to meet Pluto the Koala, Peaches the baby Tasmanian Devil and of course, a kangaroo. Matt took us to see several beautiful beaches and was happy to take our photo in between all the selfies!! I highly recommend Matt! Not only will you find a wonderful guide in Matt, but he could be your new best friend!!
