Stop At: Schloss Neuschwanstein, Neuschwansteinstrasse 20, 87645 Schwangau, Bavaria Germany
Schloss Neuschwanstein, often known as Germany’s "Cinderella castle, " was actually the inspiration for a different Disney story, the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ castle at Disneyland.
The entrance fee to the castle is not included (you can pay on the day), but by booking this tour in advance, you’ll receive skip-the-line access to Neuschwanstein so you won’t waste time standing in the ticket queue.

Once inside the enchanting structure, take a tour with a guide, who shares fascinating stories about the reclusive Bavarian king who commissioned a new residence in the 19th century. Thought to be mad, King Ludwig II desired a fantasy castle built in the mountains, an obsessive feat that was still incomplete when he died. Visit the best vantage points for views and photo ops of the castle’s towers, interiors and surrounding scenery such as the lake, gorge and equally beautiful Hohenschwangau Castle.

Absolutely loved the tour! I went with my mom. Our tour guide was Stevo and he did an amazing job. During the bus ride he gave us a lot of information about Munich and Neuschwanstein castle. This was done in an interesting and funny way! Also loved the part where he played Wagner for a bit while we were approaching the castle. He made sure everyone understood what we were going to do and when/where to meet. He also made sure everyone was doing okay throughout the day. There was enough time to walk around on your own and to go to the souvenir shops. The bus driver was also great! I have motion sickness and busses can be a real challenge so I made sure we had a seat at the front. However, I didn't get sick once because the driver drove very calmly. We had an amazing day and we would both recommend booking a tour with Radius Tours! The tour guides were great - very personable, and very informative. The tour guides were great - very personable, and very informative. I would suggest that when the guides describe the hike up to the castle, they do so in more detail than a generic term of its heart. You’re a many people who opted to do the hike that frankly shouldn’t have as they didn’t understand the incline as well as gravel conditions. And then the one downside is when we got back onto the bus after the tour, the guys were advertising that beer would be available for all on the ride home. They only had 10 bottles available and so it was a letdown. In the future, they should have enough bottles for all on the tour or not offer this amenity.Good trip, beautiful scenery. Castle was fantastic. Only bad thing was tour guide asking for tips. Not professional.

The guided tour in the Neuschwanstein castle is really only 25-30minutes. The trip takes the whole day because of the train travel. Our guide Charlie gave a superb, engaging storytelling, coupled with 15 minutes attention span consideration throughout the journey. It was very thoughtful and gave a great context to the castle and the history. Recommend this tour to save the hassle of missing the time window of the ticket, the train service (which was some hiccup at Fussen station when we head back to Munich). :)Charlie was very informative and helpful. Provide a lot of guidance. Would recommend him for trips..
