This movie was a good way of summarising the history of the different settlers at the canyon and if you’re only doing the rim trails around the canyon, it’s a good way of exploring the lower levels of the canyon. However, the acting is a bit off and the film in general is a bit outdated. If you...
This movie was a good way of summarising the history of the different settlers at the canyon and if you’re only doing the rim trails around the canyon, it’s a good way of exploring the lower levels of the canyon. However, the acting is a bit off and the film in general is a bit outdated. If you’re more interested in the geography/ geology of the canyon, the short film at the visitors centre beside Mathers point explores the origin of the canyon and how it has eroded etc. Don’t forget to look at the gift shop on the way out as it’s definitely one of the more affordable ones!Outdated movie and subject matter. Highly speculative narrative about human history. Would have been much more interesting if it covered more geological history

Had to ask three different people to get the proper info to get our tickets and know where to go. The movie itself was a good one, a mix of flying through the Canyon on screen and some history. Great views of the Canyon and back story about the Canyon. I would recommend going to see it.In spite of previous reviews, I enjoyed the film, and did not have any of the problems previous reviewers have written about. In spite of previous reviews, I enjoyed the film, and did not have any of the problems previous reviewers have written about. The film gives you a history, of the explorations of the Canyon, from the first explorers to more recent ones. Just 34 minutes long, and shown on a huge screen, one ends up with a comprehensive view of the difficulties endured by the early explorers.Just a jumbled up mess. No theme, no continuity. Even outdated and inaccurate scenes. Don't waste your time or money. Sound cuts out multiple times and then seems out of sync with the picture.

This was a low budget movie. Both color and sound were low quality. Lens was dirty and the sound kept cutting out. Many parts of the film were dark. I expected to see the magnificent colors of the canyon. I have been to other IMAX movies and this did not compare at all to those. Go and enjoy the canyon first hand and take in the beauty with your own eyes.
