Highlights include the Praline Factory tour, riding the streetcar, and seeing the Garden District. Seeing inside the Elms Mansion was a plus that only this tour offered. Low lights were that the tour guide gave false information concerning Nicholas Cage owning Marie Laveau's house in the French Quarter(He never did), and that Marie Laveau lived in the Marigny District when she actually lived on St. Ann Street in the French Quarter.Listing says that the tour includes the following: Expert Local Guide Guaranteed Exclusive Access - Elms Mansion Expertly guided walking tour Food tasting - Praline Beverage - Elms Mansion One-day Jazzy Pass (Transportation Pass) Entry/Admission - Elms Mansion The only one of these things we a...
Listing says that the tour includes the following: Expert Local Guide Guaranteed Exclusive Access - Elms Mansion Expertly guided walking tour Food tasting - Praline Beverage - Elms Mansion One-day Jazzy Pass (Transportation Pass) Entry/Admission - Elms Mansion The only one of these things we actually received was the Jazzy pass. No stop at a praline shop, no visit to the Elms Mansion much less an interior tour or beverage. Claimed Elms was closed because a staff member had COVID symptoms (about which I am extremely skeptical; even if true they should have notified us as soon as they found out and offered a refund or rebook) and didn't even mention the praline shop or offer an explanation why that was omitted from the tour. Tour guide was nice but often had to read the plaques in front of the homes for information and was unable to go off script or answer questions; certainly not what I would call an "expert". No refund or discount offered for the missing components of the tour. We specifically booked this tour over others due to the Elms access. Absolutely disappointing experience and false advertising. Trip Advisor should really ban this merchant and I would highly recommend booking elsewhere.Lovely and informative tour. Be prepared to go with the flow as the tour moves at an irregular rate. It’s fun and relaxed; just don’t think everything will happen on a strict schedule.Fantastic information and a fun walking tour of the beautiful homes in the Garden District.
