Overview

Head into the North York Moors National Park where you will explore the beautiful landscapes and historical sites.

The first stop of the tour is Pickering, a ancient market-town on the border of the North York Moors national park. From Pickering we travel into the national park itself, famed for the stunning views of heather moorland which, on a clear day, can extend for 50 miles in every direction. We stop next in Goathland, famous for its role in the TV series Heartbeat. You will have a brief stop where you can see Goathland Station, featured in the world renowned Harry Potter movies as Hogsmead.

Next we arrive in Whitby for lunch, a traditional seaside town, where there is a wide choice of places to eat with fish and chips being the local favourite. After our lunch stop it is time to travel through the heart of the moors, following roads through the stunning expanse of heather moorland.

We will then make our way back towards York whilst enjoying the views over the Vale of York.

Great tour! Lee was very knowledgeable and the day was quite enjoyable. Beautiful sites…so much history in this part of the UK; we learned a great deal. Would love to come back to see all the Heather in bloom!

Seeing so much beautiful country, small towns and Abby ruins. Our driver/guide did an excellent job - safe, friendly, service oriented and knowledgeable. Good timing regarding stopping and walking.

The tour could have been much better. Felt like a monologue, absolute snoozefest. The guide was knowledgeable but had very little enthusiasm to share the information. Felt like a history lesson. Won't recommend.

My girlfriend and I went on this tour on her birthday and we had the best time. Lee was knowledgeable, funny, and easy-going; we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide! We really enjoyed the day and were able to see areas that we wouldn't have otherwise known about. A really great experience.

Lee our tour guide was exceptional. A lovely guy, shared his considerable knowledge of the Moors and of his love of Whitby fish and chips. An excellent day that my wife Sue and I would love to repeat. We were in a group of only 7 in total and we went on Monday 21st March 2022. Please go, you wont...

It was not that memorable. A rather blah experience and I would not rate Whitby as a particularly pretty seaside town. It was alright for the experience but the guide, Lawrence, whilst very knowledgeable had a monotone voice which put everyone to sleep. Perhaps being more interactive, more hum...
