Hop on board and travel on this hunt for the breathtaking Northern Lights. Take in the stunning scenery of the Icelandic landscape while keeping an eye on the sky for this elusive but incredible sight. This tour is perfect for those who’d like to witness one of the world’s greatest wonders in comfort.
You will be picked up in Reykjavík in the evening. You will be driven away from the lights of the city to the darkened countryside for the best possible view of these bright dancing lights. On your journey, you will be driven by an expert guide who will look for gaps in the clouds and signs of the aurora borealis. They will pick the best location to see this beautiful light display and entertain you with information about the Icelandic nature.
On the way to the perfect spot, you will be driven through the stunning Icelandic landscape. You will travel past fields and mountains and get an unbelievable nighttime view of the country.

We had a perfect evening hunting for the northern lights. Valthor was knowledgeable and skilled and he made sure we were in just the perfect spot to see the most mind blowing display. The lights by far exceeded my expectations thanks to great planning from valthor. This was the sixth night we tried to see the Lights - the others on one of the big buses. Thr keep experience is worth every penny. Don’t hestitate; just book.Rafnor was a great host. We got together the northern lights in a display that made us feel very privileged. Radnor and Wale (forgive my spelling) were very knowledgeable and found the perfect spot for a beautiful aurora boreal display.

If you can afford to go with a smaller group that has a photographer it is a much better option than a large bus with many people. Photographing the lights is very difficult and going with a photographer ensures you will get a great photo of yourself in the lights.It was disappointing to not see the lights but it was through no fault of trying, our guide drive for miles chasing the stars that were few and far between in the cloud filled sky and we are forever grateful for his experience and for the comfort of the amazing jeep

We were away a long time - we stayed out much longer than expected - we didn't get back to our hotel until 1:40am. The Aurora weren't spectacular but nonetheless well well worth the trip.

It would have been good if our tour guide gave us information & knowledge on the northern lights. I was expecting to come away with a little more understanding.
