Your northern lights hunt starts with an evening pick up from the authorized pickup locations in the Reykjavik area. From the city, you will escape the light pollution and head for the darkness of the countryside that provides the best opportunities to catch the natural wonder that is the Northern Lights. Following the Aurora and cloud forecast, each day the Northern Lights expert optimize the best spots for witnessing the dancing lights. The tour can take up to 4 hours whereas try to hunt down the swirling lights. Although impossible to guarantee the lights are an unforgettable experience and something you will definitely not forget if you are lucky enough to catch them.

- If you do not see any northern lights, offer you a free second tour but please note that you must contact to re-book this and this is subject to availability each time. No refund is given when no lights are seen.

Booked around 6pm, full payment taken. Waited at hotel for 45 minutes. When no bus turned up I messaged the your to hear it had been cancelled but no one had informed us. The activity levels looked good on my app so walked down to the shore in Reykjavík and was lucky to see the northern lights. The your operator offered to reschedule for the next night. We accepted this although the activity didn’t look as good but assumed the your guide would know better than me. The tour consisted of a lot of pick ups, a drive to the coast where we saw nothing and it started snowing. Tour guide checked another area, where no one got off the bus. We were then all offered to rebook and taken back to our hotels. There was no information about how the lights happen. I was on a golden circle tour earlier in the day and the tour guide was so informative and told us the science behind the lights so I learned more there. I completely understand the lights can’t be guaranteed but the whole experience was poor! I could not rebook due to leaving. I wish I had picked a cheaper tour and hadn’t wasted £130 for my husband and I to feel let down.My tour was cancelled due to the really bad weather condition. We chose this tour as wanted a small group experience and the attraction of the free photos. Our guide Arnie picked us up on time for 9.30. Arnie communicated with other drivers to be able to find the lights and sure enough he did. He however didn't take many photos, another guide Omar was at the same location and because of him and his enthusiasm we got some amazing photos we will treasure forever.So so much fun we got a great show and gummy bear was super sweet and accommodating I couldn’t have ask for a better tour guide will definitely be recommending to friends

I had need to contact Arctic Adventures prior to arrival in Iceland, the response was quick and helpful and told us exactly where our pick-up would be.Pick-up was on time in a super 16 seater jeep, unfortunately a lot of cloud had moved in our guide knew what to look for. Although the lights weren’t visible to the naked eye, cameras did pick them up. Our guide was lovely, he tried to help us with camera settings but if you have a tripod I would say you will get clearer photos This was the 2nd Tour we did with this company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting beautiful Iceland
