What to expect
You will be picked up at your hotel at 8pm or 9pm (depending on the season) and taken out of Reykjavik right away to meet other superjeeps. From there the hunt starts. The direction and the next stop will always depend on the weather and the ‘aurora forecast’. You will be taken to the viewing locations where you are most likely to spot the northern lights. All effort will be made to take photos of you with the northern lights in the background, at no extra charge.
The northern lights superjeep tour is dependent on the weather and sky conditions, and the right is reserved to cancel at any time. If the evening tour goes ahead and the northern lights are not seen, you will be offered to try once again for free! If there is a need to cancel all your nights due to bad weather, you will get a full refund.
Make sure you book your northern lights in Iceland tour for your first night in town in order to maximize your chances of sightings. Please note that the size of your group can grow if there were several nights in a row canceled due to weather. A best effort is given to find northern lights for everyone!
You will return to your Reykjavík hotel around 12am or 1am.

- If we need to cancel all your nights due to bad weather and you did not do the tour at all, you get a full refund (this will not apply if you did the tour and did not see the northern lights, or if your your second attempt is cancelled due to bad weather)

- Minimum age is 5 years old
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

Enjoyed the tour and got to see the northern lights! Only downside was our driver was not super friendly and there was little communication on our way out to lookout spot so the ride was slightly uncomfortable and had no clue where we were going or how long it would take. Once we met up with the other jeeps, the guide and photographer was fantastic! You can take as many photos as you want and they set up around the lights to get your the best shot. Bundle up!!!! It gets VERY cold and you will want to be outside looking for the lights. The hot cocoa and vodka at the end was a nice touch! Great way to experience such an amazing natural phenomena!Our guides made a commendable effort to show us the Northern lights. Unfortunately our viewing was less than optimal. It just wasn’t the right time. Our guides tried but we saw the faintest glimmer of a little bit of green. Hardly a memorable show. Our guides tried.

After a slow build up and some sitings we were about to go when the sky lit up and we say the most amazing display. The guides said it was the best for 3-5years. Still recovering. Thanks superjeep!
