Tony is an excellent tour guide. Firstly, he is punctual and his car is always very clean. He keeps chilled water in his trunk?? 5 stars already! He a very passionate and proud Oaxacan, I think this is very important because his love for Oaxaca and the culture drives him to offer his clients with the best experiences possible from the food to connecting with artisans and even seeing the beautiful landscape. You are surely to fall in love with Oaxaca the way I did. He is very easy going and easy to converse with. He speaks English which is fantastic if Spanish isn’t your strength. Thanks to Tony, Oaxaca has now become a place for me to visit over and over and over again. I first had tours scheduled with Tony in July 2021 then returned with my brother January 2022. He definitely influenced my return to Oaxaca!Tony (Antonio) was a fantastic tour guide. We had a great tour of Monte Alban and other sites. It was super comfortable and easy, with pickup and drop off at the airport.

We worked with Tony to plan a 3-day tour for our group of 6 that allowed us enough time at each location so we could experience each without needing to rush. His selection of sites and artisans was terrific; not the typical ‘crowd’ places and every stop was interesting and delightful. Tony’s knowledge of the culture and cultural sites also enhanced the tours. We’d travel with him again and I highly recommend his service.Antonio hosted a full-day tour for me and my family yesterday. The planned activities were wonderful. But Antonio himself was the star of the show. He shared so much knowledge with us. He's so friendly. And we felt very well taken care of. If you book with this company, you're in very good hands....

After enjoying so much of Oaxaca City on our own, my friend and I decided to book a private tour for the last full day of our trip. We selected Oaxaca Conmigo Tours based on other reviews, and I exchanged a few emails with Tony explaining our interests and taking his recommendations before deciding on an itinerary. We started at Monte Alban, and I was impressed with how skillfully he shepherded us through various areas, always managing to avoid large groups, so that we felt we almost had the place to ourselves. His knowledge is extensive, and we learned so much. Our next stop was a bit of a drive, but Tony never tired of answering our questions and keeping us informed of things we saw along the way. In San Martin Tilcajete, we stopped for an excellent lunch before visiting Zoologico Magico to learn about alebrijes. It was a delight meeting Rosie and her team of female artisans and seeing the process by which a piece of copal tree becomes an intricate, meaningful work of art. Supporting female artists and entrepreneurs is important to us, so we were impressed that Tony makes a point of highlighting Rosie and her team. Our next stop was brief but worth it! We stopped in the tiny, charming town of El Tule to see the Tule Tree. How amazing! Lastly, we drove to Teotitlan to visit the Bulmaro Perez Mendoza family home and learn about traditional weaving. The precision, creativity and time invested in their beautiful work is truly impressive. If you genuinely want to understand the history and culture of the Oaxacan valley, don't miss an opportunity to spend time with Tony. If we had had an additional day on a our trip, I would have eagerly booked a second tour to continue exploring the area's cultural treasures with Tony, and since I'm generally a do-it-yourself kind of world traveler, that's saying a lot! Thank you, Tony, for making our last day in Oaxaca so memorable. Hasta la proxima vez!
