Our tour of Dorsoduro with Marzia was excellent. We walked at a lovely conversational pace rather than rushing to get things done. This allowed us to fully appreciate the buildings that she was showing and understand information she shared about the neighborhood. Marzia has a wonderful personality and you truly felt like you were taking a stroll with a friend. If you want to see something outside of the hustle of St Marks Square and want to have an additional perspective of Venice I highly recommend this tour. If you are lucky enough to have Marzia that is a bonus! For anyone who are tired of being part of the dense tourist crowds walking from Rialto bridge to Piazza San Marco and back I would strongly recommend taking a walking tour with Claudia in Dorsoduro. For anyone who are tired of being part of the dense tourist crowds walking from Rialto bridge to Piazza San Marco and back I would strongly recommend taking a walking tour with Claudia in Dorsoduro. Claudia was born in Venice and this fact gives her the ability to share stories about life in Venice through the true local perspective which obviously adds a lot of value to the tour. She is a very knowledgeable and extremely nice guide who showed us unique places in Venice without typical tourists traffic. It’s hard to believe but at some point, we found ourselves in completely empty streets and bridges in Venice which was a very special experience. It was tremendously interesting and very enjoyable experience. Thank you, Claudia. From the very moment we met Marzia. From the very moment we met Marzia. She was so warm and welcoming we were a little late as we got lost 😮 She said it was not a problem to relax, it would be an easy paced walk. She took us to places that most would not see or visit, which was exactly what we wanted and we loved the tour. Marzia is a very proud Venetian which is what made the experience so wonderful when we compared our cultures we had a lot in common. Ireland and Venice has a lot of history with the Catholic Church. We got totally lost in conversations. Went over time a little because of her knowledge and patience by letting us stop for photographs. (We were delighted) We wanted to have a Venetian meal and Marzia went out of her way by taking us to a local restaurant and made a booking for us for that night ensuring we knew how to get there before she left.Giada was fantastic from start to finish. She provided great recommendations ahead of our trip to Venice. The tour we went on with her was engaging and informative and made us love the Dorsoduro district even more. Highly recommend this tour with Giada!

Marzia was a wonderful resource guiding us through the lessor known areas of Venice. She is a true Venetian, which is evident through her vast knowledge regarding the history of Venice in addition to the details she shared regarding growing up in Venice. We toured the Chiesa di San Nicolò dei Mendicoli church and her knowledge of the history of the church and it's amazing stories was one of the highlights of our trip. Mariza is a warn and wonderful person who genuinely cared about our needs and interests. I would highly recommend her as a guide.Emanuele was very knowledgeable and clearly in love with Venice. Emanuele was very knowledgeable and clearly in love with Venice. I am a little bit in love with Venice, too, after this tour and gaining a little insight into the city beyond the endless shops. Even our 12yo boy was smiling after five hours on the tour! Paying for private transport was well worth it to customize the length of our stops. Highly recommend.
