Can’t believe how much history I’ve just taken in during a 90min walking tour. I’ve lived in or near the city all my life but all of this tour was insightful and interesting. Regardless of if your visiting this city or live there you should get this tour on your list of to dos as it’s great value for money and a different way to enjoy the Old Portsmouth part of the city. Our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about the details and painted such a vivid image of the areas history. This was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a sunny Saturday morning.. This was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a sunny Saturday morning.. Samuel is a very friendly engaging, knowledgeable and funny (sort of!) guide.. Willing to let his audience engage throughout and in fact encouraging it.. Although my wife is Portsmouth born and bred and I have been visiting for nearly 40 years on a regular basis we still discovered many interesting facts.. The tour lasted about 90 mins in total which was just right.. We met up at Landport Gate.. A very historical gateway into the old city.. We then progressed around Old Portsmouth and its interesting environs.. Finishing eventually up on the Point.. Or Spice Island.. If you are considering an introduction into old Portsmouth history this is a great way to start.. Throughly reccomend this and for the price it's a complete no brainer! Thanks Samuel and good luck with the future.. Gary and Bernie
