Old Town, Alexandria and Mount Vernon Private Tour
Overview
Walk in the footsteps of Washington with this sensational five-hour excursion from the capital. You’ll be picked up in a luxurious, climate-controlled vehicle while your guide explains the significance of some of the city’s most recognizable monuments. A short drive brings you to the candy-colored architecture of Alexandria, where you can take a tour of some monuments notable to the former president – including the Masonic Temple and Christ Church.
Arguably the birthplace of the city itself, George Washington’s former estate is located just 13 miles from the capital’s center. The second half of this tour involves an in-depth foray through the mansion, with entrance tickets to the grounds and gardens included.

Dion made this tour. Was absolutely the best in keeping us informed and was very knowledgeable about all of the attractions along our entire route. Didn’t mind questions and was very professional. Would recommend wearing walking shoes.

Nicely organized, from pick-up to drop off. Our guide, Joey, gave informative commentary on the ride out and back, and handed us over to the experts while we were there. Had a bit of free time to browse the gift shop and grab a bite in their food court at the end. The only negative was the amount of Alexandria we got to see. The tour stopped in a church yard, but other than that, we drove down the main drag, and Joey pointed out historic places. All in all a great tour.Wonderful experience getting to see Washington’s place and great information provided by Edgar Vasquez. This is a guide who knows what he is talking about and makes it fun.

Ann Marie’s 40 years of experience shines through as she entertained us through Old Town Alexandria on route to Mt. Vernon. An art fair in Old Town Alexandria ended up closing streets, so we ended up having more time exploring George Washington’s farmhouse home. With lots of witty jokes and information that can only come from a guide, Ann Marie delivers. And thanks Milton for driving us around and keeping us hydrated with ice cold water! This was a well organized tour that lasted 5 hours.
