Next stop will be Klio's honey farm where a nice rural house will be visited with the nicest owners, explaining the process of the local honey production and exploring the farm fields. During the visit a nice treat is offered tasting local pancakes with honey. You will enjoy the thick shades under the garden trees and get the feeling of the greek rural life. My wife and I were on a cruise that stopped at Katakolon and we wanted to see Olympia. Because of a disability I was using a mobility scooter. Chris, our driver/guide met us at our ship in a very clean, comfortable Mercedes. He was very know knowledgeable and spoke very good English . He was very cordial and solicitous of my needs and my wife's. He was particularly helpful in assembling and disassembling my scooter. We spent several hours visiting the ancient ruins in Olympia which were well worth seeing.sif21

We traveled via private taxi to all of our stops. We first went to Olympia, then to a bee hive farm (which was homey and very interesting), then off to a beautiful beach side resort about 4 Kilometers from the cruise port and then back into town. We traveled via private taxi to all of our stops. We first went to Olympia, then to a bee hive farm (which was homey and very interesting), then off to a beautiful beach side resort about 4 Kilometers from the cruise port and then back into town. This was the perfect way to spend our day in Katakolon. Our tour guide, Chris was incredible and we even met Andrew, the tour owner while at the bee hive farm. If you are not sure what to do at this cruise stop, I highly recommend you consider this half day tour. This was the perfect shore excursion.Vosgerau75

This was one of our favorite excursions from our cruise. Our guide timely met us at the port and transported us to Olympia where we saw the ruins. Because it was a private tour, we beat the rush of people from the cruise ships in town. After the ruins, we went to Kilo's Honey Farm and had a delicious snack of honey and these pastry-type things. I couldn't stop eating them. Then we went to a winery where we walked around and saw the animals, again getting there before the cruise ship rush. We ended the day with this scenic overlook where we got an amazing shot of our cruise ship and the coast line. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and highly recommend.patricke921

We booked Olympia 1/2 day tour via email, and everything worked perfectly! Our car was waiting for us at the port, we were quickly picked up and transported to Olympia. It was SO hot there! atleast for us New Englanders! We were provided tour book and waters for all 4 of us, and toured Olympia...
We booked Olympia 1/2 day tour via email, and everything worked perfectly! Our car was waiting for us at the port, we were quickly picked up and transported to Olympia. It was SO hot there! atleast for us New Englanders! We were provided tour book and waters for all 4 of us, and toured Olympia at our own pace. Which was relatively quickly with 2 teen boys! . When we were ready to leave, our taxi was waiting and we hopped right in. We opted to go to an off the beaten track place for lunch, and we asked the driver (sorry I am having a hard time remembering your name!) and he brought us to the BEST MEAL we ever had. So reasonably priced, with authentic greek meats and the ocean view was stupendous. Absolutely surreal and memorable (more memorable to my teen boys than Olympia!) No issues with arriving back - timely and we were able to pick up some souveniers before embarking. Wonderful wonderful wonderful! So problem with communication- driver's English was excellent and paid after the tour for the agreed amount (much more reasonable than the cruise excursions!)
