Overnight Camel Safari - Sleeping under the Stars
Overview
This safari offers an opportunity to explore the Thar Desert in an authentic and distinctive way, as you will ride through the varied landscape of the Desert, ranging from arid scrub lands & farms to rocky outcrops & dunes. You will witness the local flora & fauna, while passing by villages where you can see people still leaving in a traditional Desert Life.
The major highlight of this Safari is Sleeping under the Stars, in the nice Sand Dunes, in a warm & cozy bedding.
This Overnight Camel Safari starts at around 1:30 pm and ends at around 11 am the next day.

What to expect
• The camel safari departs at around 1:30 PM from Jaisalmer by jeep.
• On the way to the dunes, you will visit Khaba and a natural oasis.
• You’ll receive a warm welcome by friendly guides and healthy camels.
• You will be allotted one camel per person, for a 90 minute ride within the desert.
• Stop at the Dunes, marvel at the beautiful sunset, and savour the taste of delicious • snacks.
• Later, sit around the bonfire and have a delicious traditional dinner (freshly cooked and using only bottled water).
• Sleep under the Stars in a warm and a cozy bedding.
Day 2
• Next morning, wake up to a beautiful sunrise.
• Eat a healthy breakfast after sunrise.
• Mount on your camel and ride for about 90 minutes.
• Take a jeep ride to Jaisalmer and reach by 11 AM.

I enjoyed safari trip to Thar desert a lot. It was amazing experience with very friendly local people. We started the journey by jeep visiting local houses and fort on a desert, then we switched to camels which took us inside the desert. We had a camp next to amazing dunes and ate a tasty local dinner. Bedding was very comfortable and we could watch hundreds of stars. In the morning we woke up for sunrise, followed by breakfast and another camel ride. After that we jumped into jeep again to see the local village. I truly appreciate everyone involved in this tour organization especially Chhgan as they are very engaged friendly people who tried to make us as much comfortable. I truly recommend and hope to see you again some other time. Ps. You can leave baggage in free storage room, pick up from the station is also possible, same as free room for couple of hours if needed. Everything was very well organised, food, water and chai were provided and it was very good value. Especially because they let you shower and rest in a nice hotel room when you get back!
