We had a great time! Kenneth spent all day with us, teaching us about local birds and other anima!s. He was patient and cheerful throughout. Although finding birds in Monteverde was challenging, Curi Cancha was a delight. of special note is that we don't birdwatch at night In the US, so the night walk was eye-opening! Who knew that birds rolled themselves up in little balls to sleep in the canopy?Amazingly informative and beautiful guided tours of the Monteverde area with a local guide who will teach you all about the birds, animals, and forest. You'll see things that would not be possible if you explored by yourself.

Ken was fantastic. We had such a great time and highly suggest this to anyone looking for a private tour in Monteverde.I had a great time, spotted many indigenous birds to monte verde, all in my one pace. This tour was amazing! 10/10 would recommend. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to spot two quetzals (sp?), some pigs, some long-snooted creatures, many different birds, a sloth, several vipers, two giant insects, intertwining paths of leaf-cutter ants, sting-less bees, giant trees, a spider monkey, and dozens of other animals. He also was very helpful with getting us good pictures of all the animals through his scope as he is also a very talented photographer. Overall the tour was engaging, well paced, and entertaining. If you're in Monteverde, do this tour and you will see all the cloud forest has to offer!Tony met us at our hotel for a private tour of Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve. Tony met us at our hotel for a private tour of Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve. We learned about the national parks vs preserves, beehives in root systems, found a tarantula den, identified hummingbirds, other birds, and waited patiently for the (endangered) Resplendent Quetzal. We’d missed them in our previous tour, unfortunately. This time, with Tony’s knowledge of the area and the birds’ habits, as well as some luck (can’t control wild birds!) we watched as the female returned to the nest to swap out incubating the egg. We watched and listened to their communication and flights. Tony had a great scope and took lots of photos/videos through it for us. We were even lucky enough to spot a tayra run across our path! The hike was only mildly strenuous at one point, trying to get to a different tree they had been trying to build a new nest in. We asked a lot of questions, and Tony could answer them all. Thanks!!
