What to expect
The Padi Open Warer Course takes three days to complete. Each day starting approx 9am and finishing approx 2pm. During your time with us we will complete the confined water sessions, where you learn the basic skills of diving. After the first day we then head to one of the local beaches and complete the open water dives where you can gain confidence in a relaxed environment.
During the course we include skills that you previously learnt and make sure your happy and comfortable in the water.

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Minimum age is 10 years
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

Completed our 3 day Padi Open Water Diver course with Blue Water Diving yesterday. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Carolyn who was our instructor throughout the course. She is a natural instructor explaining things with ease, making the course fun and enjoyable. In the end helping us learn quickly, managing to get a wreck and drift dive in on the last day because of it. Would 100% recommend this diving establishment to anyone interested in scuba diving. Great experience with the Dive Guru Chris and his crew! Very easygoing teacher, explains everything and practice several times on the pool and then on the sea!! He has knowledge of the sea, preserve the bottom from human waste and shows big respect of all creatures living down there! We did the course in a small group of 3 people, which is a big advantage, and he ensures that we also experience diving during the learning sessions. Along the diving sessions we were lucky to see big variety of fishes eg. angel shark, cuttlefish, barracudas, red mullets and many more.. We highly recommend Chris and Kate at Blue Water Dive center! Excellent PADI Open Water experience. Me and my partner enjoyed learning diving with Chris and his crew. He is a great and very experienced diving instructor! He makes the first diving sessions seemed very easy and safe. The sessions are conducted in very small groups (we were 3 students) so it is very personalised. We would definetely book more divings when back to Gran Canaria and we totally recommend it!My family and I have been diving with Chris and Kate for over 20 years. The people at Blue Water Diving are realy friendly and helpful. They sett me up whit the theoretical part of the open Water course online in advance so I only had to focus on diving while there. I had one to one training with my instructor, and he paced the progresjon to fit me. He also changed the dive site to what he meant would suit me best, for the level I was at. If you are planting to taking a dive course or going diving in general I would highly recommend Blue Water Diving.
