Pamukkale and Hierapolis Full-day Guided Tour from Side
Overview
The calcite-laden waters that had created this unreal landscape come from springs located in a 200-meter high cliff that overlooks the plain. Marvel at the mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and the series of terraced basins created by these waters.
At the end of the 2nd century B.C. the kings of Pergamon established the thermal spa of Hierapolis. The ruins of the baths, temples and other Greek monuments can be seen at the site. The temples were significant trade centers for ancient Hierapolis.
See the Roman theater, the Apollo temple, Roman baths, fountains and the agora. After the tour, have a chance to swim in thermal pools. An additional option is to swim in Cleopatra’s Pool, for an extra fee.

Pamukkale Thermal Pools. You can optional buy tickets to swim here.

Pass By: Denizli, Denizli
Denizli means “with the sea, ” which is exactly what this city is not. It’s a modern concrete city of more than half a million people.
Stop At: Side, Side, Manavgat, Turkish Mediterranean Coast
Drive back to Side

We spent 3.5 hrs at pamukkale where we could wonder off ourself to the thermal pools or Heirapolis which again the tour guide explained the history of. Great trip.Pamukkale namely Hierapolis is a wonderful place, definitely a must do for anyone in the area. Cleopatras pool is definitely worth the entry fee. Pamukkale namely Hierapolis is a wonderful place, definitely a must do for anyone in the area. Cleopatras pool is definitely worth the entry fee. You could spend easily 2 days on this site exploring all it has to offer. Our guide was lovely, I did feel for her though, as we had a number of inconsiderate tour members that would be late for meeting up, for instance she would say we can stay here for half an hour, and some people would take 45 minutes + to get back on the coach! We probably wasted an hour and a half waiting for these inconsiderate people! Not the guides fault at all, she told them time and again. So if you’re reading this considering this or any tour, please don’t be that person! Though it was a very long journey, it was planned well so that we do not get tired . The guide was very informative and helpful. The sites at pamukkale are worth visiting and I would recommend the same. We got amazing pictures too so overall a great experience
