This was during my solo visit to Chengdu, but it wouldn't have been complete without exploring the places with the help of a guide. "Sheldon - The Tour Guide" has a great passion for his job and has deep knowledge about the places and history. He has excellent command on the English language as well. We started the day early, visited Panda base at the time when Pandas are most active. It was their breakfast time. It was amazing to see the Pandas of all the age groups. Sheldon took me to a nice authentic restaurant serving the one and the most famous Hotpot. He helped me to choose the stuff as per my dietary preferences. We enjoyed the hotpot with our pace for almost an hour. Visited old opera backstage which is an initiative by elderly people to nurture the tradition. Their passion and efforts were seen at the place. Then we visited People's Park and got insights into the history, culture and importance of the place. I am really inspired to see the energy put by elderly people and how it helps them to stay young at heart. The park has an old Tea house where we sipped Jasmine tea while listening from Sheldon about the history and the importance of Tea House for the locals. Sheldon taught me the crash course of "Playing Mahjong Blocks". I would surely like to understand it in details and master the skills. Got some tips from Sheldon to spend the evening and remaining days by own to explore the Chengdu and the vicinity. Thanks to "Sheldon - The Tour Guide" for making the tour memorable.Went to Chengdu and had a fascinating day tour visiting the Giant Panda Centre and did a cultural tour in the afternoon after Lucy took me for a wonderful lunch. Went to Chengdu and had a fascinating day tour visiting the Giant Panda Centre and did a cultural tour in the afternoon after Lucy took me for a wonderful lunch. The day was the highlight of my visit to Chengdu and I was very glad I had the opportunity to do this. Lucy was excellent, I had the best experience of both places, including the food which I have to say still gets my taste buds going today! Lucy is very knowledgeable of course, but she went out of her way to make sure I experienced everything someone visiting the country for the first time should, always asking if I wanted to see other things. The Panda centre is the highlight of course, however the cultural tour was very enriching. I saw a local Opera, visited the People’s Park which was really interesting to see and unexpected. I can only thank Lucy who was wonderful throughout for the experience. We spent two great days in Chengdu. We were very lucky to book a tour with Lucy. We spent two great days in Chengdu. We were very lucky to book a tour with Lucy. From the moment we met her at the airport until the end of the tour, Lucy did everything possible to make sure we had the best time in Chengdu. On our arrival, Lucy suggested different places to go by ourselves in our first day in the city and it couldn't be better. We went to the Chengdu Museum, which is really interesting, and to the Wide and Narrow Alley, which is a great place to stroll, have some snacks and see some art. On the second day Lucy took us early morning to the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and we had a great time. Later, we went to the People's Park where we could see how the residents spend their time in this pleasant park, including the peculiar "Marriage Market". Lucy also did much more than her role as a tour guide helping us to try to find my wife's mobile phone that was lost. She took us to two police stations and the traffic police headquarters and managed to get information that I could not think it was possible! (By the way, I would like to thank Chengdu Police for their help) For what we have experienced, I strongly recommend anyone to go to Chengdu and book a tour with Lucy. Cecile is a competent super funny guide and she speaks English very well! I'll never forget this day. Wrapped up a business trip with a flight out of CTU and took the opportunity to check out the Chengdu tourist high points. The company provided a knowledgeable and professional guide who had a fairly sophisticated command of English (not common in China) and a car. The world's laziest animals were properly photogenic, but the most interesting part of the tour was Jinsha because I have a keen interest in Chinese origins and culture. The Mandarin section of Chengdu (sometimes known as the "wide and narrow alleys") is a fun place for tourists, but not the same level of interest for me as Jinsha. I recommend this company - they will figure out a tour that is best suited for your interests and deliver the goods. We had a wonderful two days touring in Chengdu with U2Panda tours. We had a wonderful two days touring in Chengdu with U2Panda tours. We went to the Dujiangyan Panda base followed by the Qingcheng on our first day and did the Research Pabda Base and city tour on the second. Cecile our guide, made everything fun, interesting and hassle-free and went above and beyond to make our tour everything we wanted. We got to see some unique and authentic sites of this beautiful area whether it was gazing at the clever, playful pandas; climbing the many steps of the spectacular Qingcheng mountain; or drinking tea and watching mahjong competitions at the Peoples’ park. We have a 13 and 10 year old, and both were engaged the whole time. Highly recommend!
