We decided to try parapenting at the last minute while staying in San Gil and don’t regret for a minute choosing these guys. It all sounded pretty scary, launching yourself off the side of a mountain above a 2000 metre canyon but we needn’t have worried. These guys were highly professional, the organisation - including getting to the site, safety briefing and getting everyone airborne - was impressive, and the overall experience was excellent. Despite 10-12 clients, there was very little waiting around and, as far as we could tell, everyone enjoyed their flights - with photos posted shortly afterwards on Facebook. A great experience and would certainly recommend these guys.Wow what a fantastic experience! Totally worth 180000 cop! We stayed one full hour in the air. Got there around 10:30. We took a Taxi from Bucaramanga to the Canyon. Freddie, sent the van to pick us up from the park to the field where the gliding takes place. He explained the set up, the process, the timeline. They are very efficient and incredibly professional. Loved the experience. They also offer a memory stick with GoPro camera if you don't have one for 50k Pesos, well worth it. One thing to remember, I don't think I read it anywhere, if you are prone to motion sickness, take something before hand. I am and didn't take anything and did get a bit sick. Thank you Freddie and the team for an incredible experience.I have always wanted to try paragliding, and I had an opportunity in Barichara. I have always wanted to try paragliding, and I had an opportunity in Barichara. My friend and I took a bus to San Gil, where we were picked up and taken to the office to sign some paperwork. Bring your doctor's information and know your blood type! You need it for the forms along with your weight, next of kin, etc. Don't let the paperwork scare you. We were driven to the launching area, where Freddy explained everything in good English. Although it looks like you may be running off of a cliff, your feet are generally in the air before you get to the edge. I actually was in the air close to 40 minutes as they were having difficulty getting me back. Although they recommend long sleeves, if it's a hot day, don't worry. The pilots are excellent and explain what's going on. Landing was as easy as take off. Follow the instructions, and you'll have a great time.Booked the activity through my hostel (Macondo - highly recommend it) and the whole experience was great! Booked the activity through my hostel (Macondo - highly recommend it) and the whole experience was great! Picked us up in the morning, drove to the company's office to sign a waiver with details about the activity. Then an hour drive to the canyon. Once we got to the canyon our guide Carlos gave us thorough, bilingual info & safety instructions. The gliding itself is amazing. Not an adrenaline rush except for take off & landing, probably because you only have to sit back & let the pilot do all the work! Amazing views of the canyon, river, natural park & towns.
