Kulen National Park takes you away from the city life to view how the local family members spend time away from the daily stress of just earning a living. Here we saw how families enjoy their time together to play in the waterfall, gather around the picnic tarp to share food, and most of all visit the reclining buddha to pay respect, pray, and make offerings. I've been to other shrines, but this one is unique in that monks are present to bless people in a very unique ceremony. You can see Hindi and Buddhist worshipers pray around religious artifacts in harmony. Though I seen these things, but with Touu Marin, our guide, to explain what all this means, I would have been ignorant as to why people did what they did. He was a fantastic guide who is very knowledgeable of the religious facts. He also took us to off the beaten path in Kulen where most tourist avoid. Here, I had the pleasure to hang my feet over a vertical cliff which scared my wife. But, she is beginning to learn to accept my antics. Our driver also treated us well. He drove slowly and safely to be courteous to other drives and people alike. He always treated my wife like a princess that she is! I'm happy to have taken this tour because I did not have to deal with the logistics to getting us to the park. It is well worth the money which includes taking us to a wonderful place for lunch (not included in the tour package). The service like most restaurants is excellent. We will not be returning to Siem Reap, because Angkor Wat now has been crossed off my bucket list and there are so many more places in the world to see. However, if you come...Kulen National Park and the floating villages can only enhance your stay in Siem Reap.....We had a great tour with our guide Sarat he spoke good English and was very polite and knowledgeable about the area. He even stopped so we could taste red bananas.

My husband and I enjoyed an absolutely fantastic day at the Kulen National Park and mountains with Mr Chenda, our extremely informative, pleasant and amiable tour guide. He was witty, honest and entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He provided a moving and enlightening account of the past and present life of Cambodians in his own unique way. He ingratiated himself even more by taking some of the most amazing pictures of the group which he later whatsapped to us all. What a guide!!! The experience was further enhanced by meeting a fantastic group with whom we bonded so well, thus making the day memorable. If you're planning a trip to Angkor Wat, Cambodia, I would strongly advise you to book this tour with Siem Reap Shuttle Tours for an unforgettable experience. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
