Gavin and Sam were amazing in handling the situation of one vehicle developing alternator problems. They kept the tour going in a positive manner. As “luck” would have it, the extra time spent in the park waiting for a replacement bus allowed us to view a clear night sky after a daytime sky filled with cloudsThe knowledge of the guide, the stars and beauty of the natural formation of the area Unfortunately with the bus break down there were low points too.

usually do not write reviews , but thought it had be useful to let people have a realistic expectation of what it is . The group included was mostly foreigners . First of the driver(skip - not sure if it’s real name ?) was late picking us up . We travelled though scorching sun in a ivecco van with A/c switched off half of the journey towards there. We arrived at the sand boarding venue and did some decent boarding (probably was the best part ) Arriving at the National park , we wandered around and got some pictures which was good . At night , we were treated to chicken/beef sausages with hot dog roll buns as the main dish . The telescope was set up and we got a decent view of the moon. We were also given a couple of binoculars.. That’s it ! The driver the made a few statements about star light , and using his laser pointer at bright objects on the sky exclaiming Venus , Mars etc .. and then for the remaining 2+hrs proceeded to chat with another Australian family (not part of the group) about foxes . While the group travelling sat in silence around the bench in darkeness. Not sure if the driver intended any maliciousness or was actually being a … All in all , probably the worst trip we have had for a while . The driver did nothing to make any effort to make this an enjoyable experience other than blurting out some points and doing exactly what he was probably asked to do . The experience itself is definetly not worth $175 .If you’re interested in the sky or star gazing experiences , there are much closer and less expensive opportunities to see the night sky in all its awe .not worth the 5 hr travel of this 9hr experience .Sandboarding was a lot of fun but the highlight was the Pinnacles desert, such a beautiful place. The guide Skip was brilliant, very knowledgeable and witty. Overall a great experience.
