Ghost stories have a very different kind of charm to lure readers with old forts, ruins of castles, deserted alleys, sinister houses, and abandoned spirits. Lying 21 Km from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, Kuldhara village has a similar story to tell. At present Kuldhara Village is a heritage site and is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). As you enter the premises of this ancient village you can feel as if time has stood still in Kuldhara for the last 200 years. Straight dusty roads with intermittent rows of mud houses, cul-de-sac lanes, sandstone walls, and a temple once visited by the Paliwals stand as a living testimony of some sad past. To the east of the village lies the parched river bed of Kakni which is a warning of the impossibility of sustenance of life in this place.

Our time was great! We enjoyed the camel riding and played on the sand dunes. As it faded into night, we saw so many stars and sat around a small campfire. The beds were also very comfortable, and we all slept great. We traveled in early August and the weather was great. We were unsure if we were going to see any sand dunes, but as we got closer with the camels, we were not disappointed to find a fairly large dune for us to camp on. Overall, it was a great experience.Super friendly staff cooked us some excellent food up on the dunes. Watched a beautiful sunset after an amazing camel ride! Would recommend!

We were on Trip to north India which involved 20+ different cities with multiple activities but this was the best thing we did so far💪🏻🤩. In Jaisalmer you could find 1000s of different safari like this but all of them takes you to the same place and it gets super crowded with very less space for you. I know this because, i had similar experience earlier. But this safari is completely different. They take you to completely different location which is far away from Everything. Due to absence of any light it makes it best place to view stars and sleep under the sky. 😜 Safari was long and fun, we had jeep ride and also visited places on the way. Then we had a 1.5hr long camel ride and on the next day 2hrs again. They offered us to ride even longer but we were bit tired so we took the jeep for remaining journey. Starting point of the safari is a hotel. And they provide you with a room with bathroom to keep all your stuff and get ready for the trip and also to get fresh after the trip aswell. There hospitality and well planning made our experience the best. We could not ask for more. I am gonna do this once more. Definitely, recommend to my fellow travellers. 😉Arum and Sambu treated us to a spectacular time! Arum and Sambu treated us to a spectacular time! Arum drove us to the archeological site on the way, an oasis with tiny frogs, and gave interesting information along the way to meeting Sambu. Also waiting for us were Johnny and Al Pacino- the two most gentle camels in India! Our night was filled with exploring the sand dunes, enjoying the sunset, and watching a spectacular display of stars while enjoying a hot, delicious meal. Raised beds were so cozy, we slept great! In the morning, breakfast was served after a cup of Masala chai. Watching Sambu hike down the dunes to collect Johnny and Al Pacino, then saddle them for our return ride, made the adventure complete. I highly recommend this trip with these guides!Excellent crew with Arun, Sambhu and Kimchi! We were so well looked after, the food was delicious and camels treated well. Loved it ❤️
