Plitvice Lake is a must to go! I am glad I went on the end winter season where there are really lesser crowd. Although i do think that visiting the lake in summer would probably be able to show the true colors of Plitvice Lake. Nevertheless, it was definitely my highlight for my trip in Croatia. Our tour guide, Mat, is definitely a good, reliable and friendly guide. He took care of us well, encouraged us to ask questions and over the conversations throughout the trip, he would politely ask us if we need his help to suggest some recommendations, let's say, for food. He went beyond his job of just bringing us to Plitvice Lake and be a tour guide, but he helped me to understand by explaining some of the observations that we have made during the visit in Croatia. I would suggest, to those visiting Croatia the first time, please sign this up. Definitely worth it!Petra and Mario were excellent hosts for this trip. Petra and Mario were excellent hosts for this trip. Petra gave us a great deal of information on the history of Croatia and Zagreb, as well as interesting facts when we got to the Lakes. She allowed us to ask questions and I came away with a new appreciation for Croatian history and nature, as the Lakes were beautiful! We walked the lower lakes in the snow slowly, with short stops at viewing platforms along the way. We were also able to ride the boat, which was great considering it was January. Petra and Mario ensured we went at a good pace and were safe in the snow/ice. All in all a great day out, well organized with lots of information provided and overall pretty good value for money. I would highly recommend this trip as Petra was a knowledgeable host and you are in a small group so can move quicker than others.Petra was a welcoming, knowledgeable and easy-going host. I enjoyed talking with her a bit along the way. The small tour size was perfect, and going in January was a dream. We had beautiful weather and no clouds. Couldn’t have asked for a better day trip!
