Overview

Explore and visit the nearest towns across the border in Albania from Ohrid, including one of probably the most rural and undeveloped areas, in Europe. Pogradec, a beautiful town on the shores of the Ohrid Lake; Korcha, a town that collides on the path of the history and modern; and Pustec, the natural untouched shore of the Prespa Lake, separated from the crowded busy world.

This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Bay of the Bones Museum, Gradiste, Ohrid Republic of North Macedonia

Inside the museum building, you can see original artifacts from the original settlement. The best part of this museum are the 24 houses that represent a pre-historic village. Inside you can see everyday items that were used by the villagers at that time.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Driloni National Park, Rruga e Drilonit, Pogradec 7301 Albania

A beautiful place, just on the other side of the border, near the town of Pogradec.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: E86, Memlisht, Albania

We will visit this small beautiful town, on the shores of Lake Ohrid in Albania.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Ngjallja e Krishtit Cathedral, Blv. Republika, Korce Albania

It is a beautiful building painted in pink, blue and brown. The cathedral was built by Greece in 1995 on the foundations of a destroyed church of St. George.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Korca Old Bazaar, Rrugica Piro Lena, Korce 7001 Albania

Korca was once the Albanian center of the higher class. We will first stop to visit the old city architecture, then we will walk through the modern part, including the visit of the Central Orthodox Church.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pustec Municipality building, QWP2+QVW, Pustec Municipality, Albania

We will see perhaps the most undeveloped region in Europe, the rural area of Albania called Pustec, along the Lake Prespa. We will visit the village of Zrnosko, where we can have our lunch.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: National Park Galicica, Ohrid Republic of North Macedonia

We will return to Ohrid through Galichica National Park and stop in a few viewpoints of both lakes, Ohrid Lake and Prespa Lake.

An early 8am start with our very nice guide Naum in an aircon minibus. Not many places for toilets and takes a while to get through Albania border and dont forget passports!
