Visit the Granaries of the Forum to see the casts, people who died during the eruption of 79 AD.
You can admire the archaeological deposit full of amphorae and work tools.

- Admission is not included in the tour. The price of the entrance ticket to Pompeii is 16 euros per person + 2 euros commission or online presale. If you don't buy your ticket online, you will have the skip the line to buy your ticket in the spot. The guide, on request, can buy your Tickets entrance in advance.

As a Pompeii archealogist, she knew all the areas and was able to tailor the tour to our interests. We particularly enjoyed when she described particular discoveries she had made on the site and talked about tge scientific process of figuring out the significance of the discoveries. It was by far the best tour we had in Italy, and one of the most informative tours we have ever gone on! We absolutely loved it!littlespy

We chose this private 2 hour tour specifically because it was being led by an archaeologist and it was excellent! Elliana was lovely, extremely professional and knowledgeable and very attentive. She met us outside the entrance and took us through to skip the line, showing us details along the wa...
We chose this private 2 hour tour specifically because it was being led by an archaeologist and it was excellent! Elliana was lovely, extremely professional and knowledgeable and very attentive. She met us outside the entrance and took us through to skip the line, showing us details along the way that we would never have known. We saw everything from the Forum, to the theatre and gladiator housing, dwellings for the poor, a sumptuous villa, shops and a brothel. At one point we stopped at a fast food shop complete with marble counter and Elliana explained how she helped excavate this herself removing meters of volcanic ash with just a brush some 20 years ago. Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a bespoke private tour by a genuine archaeologist ( there are many guides who claim to be one) and would definitely book her again as Pompeii is so big it would take 2 days to see everything.
