Really enjoyed our tour of Atlanta with Chris, who showed us some things that were off the beaten path (like murals done by local artists) and other things that were chock full of history, like a beautiful Civil War cemetery. Also saw several kinds of neighborhoods scattered throughout the city. At the tour's end he dropped us off at the Atlanta History Museum (our request) which was pretty far from where we were, but no complaints from Chris. And then he used his pass to get us into the museum for free! All in all, a very nice intro to a beautiful city.Dan was a terrific guide of the city of Atlanta and all four of the fellow travelers loved the stories about the growth and development of the city of the years. Dan was a terrific guide of the city of Atlanta and all four of the fellow travelers loved the stories about the growth and development of the city of the years. I was disappointed that we didn't get more of the African-American history and that we didn't get to go into some of the museums and monuments at the heart of the Civil Rights movement in the city. It was a rainy day and that might have precluded some of the stops, but certainly not all of them. I would highly recommend D Tours, and recommend to be more explicit than we were in our specific interests. No time for photos either. My boyfriend and I are locals and thought we knew it all about Atlanta, but we were sadly mistaken. My boyfriend and I are locals and thought we knew it all about Atlanta, but we were sadly mistaken. Our tour guide named Derek told us about Atlanta's history from start to finish. He was super knowledgeable about every aspect of our city. I was so impressed and blown away by him! I encourage everyone to do the Civil Wars to Civil Rights Tour (and every tour!) with Derek. The tour was incredibly moving. You will ask questions that you have never thought to ask. This tour will make you think hard about where this city came from and where it is today. I can go on and on about this tour with Derek. Take the tour! You won't regret it!Very pleasant tour around Atlanta with Melinda. She picked us up from our AirBnB. Very pleasant tour around Atlanta with Melinda. She picked us up from our AirBnB. We proceeded to drive around the historic areas of Atlanta while she talked about the history of each area. We stopped occasionally to walk around certain areas including the Oakland Cemetery and MLK National Historic Park. At the end, she asked whether we wanted to go back to our AirBnB or a different spot. We decided to take a look at Ponce Market so she dropped us there which was very helpful. Thanks for the great tour, Melinda!I scheduled this for something to do with my husband before his meetings started. He loves private tours and so rarely gets to step outside his meetings once they get started. This was a great way to spend his free time. I scheduled this for something to do with my husband before his meetings started. He loves private tours and so rarely gets to step outside his meetings once they get started. This was a great way to spend his free time. The day was warm, but not yet too hot to enjoy wandering around. Dan took us to multiple places around town to get an overall education about the bookends of Civil War and Civil Rights and some of the history in between and current day Atlanta. Totally worth the three hours in time and the price tag. If I had the time, i would have signed up for another tour. If we ever find ourselves in Atlanta again, I know the first person I'm going to call.Chris was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Being a history buff, it was interesting seeing the civil war gravesites and learning all that happened to Atlanta during that time. I also enjoyed seeing the MLK birthplace and Park
