Comfortable transport, plenty of local and historical knowledge, and lunch included.. We were collected punctually from the hotel by driver and guide in an air-conditioned car with spotless interior. A range of complimentary chilled soft drinks were provided - and much appreciated on a very hot day. Joyce took us across Tiananmen Square, answering all our questions as we went. I found it very interesting as was pleased that we spent enough time there, and did not feel hurried at all. We went from there directly into the Forbidden City and spent the rest of the morning on an extensive tour there. Joyce always provided a ready answer to any questions we had, and afterwards took us for lunch in a local restaurant. The visit to the the Summer Palace after lunch was another highlight. Although the basic itinerary was pre-determined, we always felt throughout the day that we we were able to make optimum use of the available time in a way that suited us. As we were driven back to the hotel later in the afternoon we felt entirely satisfied that we had avoided the frustration of time wasted in unsolicited shopping opportunities or waiting for a large group to gather. Not the cheapest offer online, but in our opinion an honest tour offering good value. My guide Connie arrived punctually. She is knowledgeable and provided informative background and history to the various sites visited. As I was keen to take photographs, she was able to show me some of the good photo taking angles and compositions. Had an enjoyable time!

We took two tours with this company in Beijing. Nico was our guide for a day to visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace. When we were too late for tickets to Forbidden City, I asked about two other sites on our list, Lama Temple and Confucious Palace. They were able to pivot to these two sites, which turned out to be very nice and wonderfully much less crowded than the original sites for this tour. Very nice day, yummy lunch at a local restaurant Nico knows. It was a day well spent and I’m glad I went on this tour. It saved me a lot of time and I especially learned a lot from my tour guide Peter (who was awesome and spoke excellent English). I highly recommend this tour and I would do it again if given the chance - it was that good. Excellent.
