Janice was the perfect guide for us. She picked us up at the hotel and was on time. She is very knowledgeable and was willing to answer our questions about the every day life in Singapore and also the past history. She kept a good pace allowing the perfect amount of time in the different areas She checked with us about our likes and dislikes in food. Once she knew that we were willing to try most anythig she made it possible for us to try many foods we would never eat if we were on our own. She also told us a lot about the history and architecture in the different areas. I would recommend her when visiting Singapore. She gave us 110% and was much more than a 5 star guide. My wife and I booked this tour with our two girls (12 and 15). Gee Soo Boo was our guide for this exciting and enriching day in Singapore. My wife and I booked this tour with our two girls (12 and 15). Gee Soo Boo was our guide for this exciting and enriching day in Singapore. He was a wonderful guide and also most gracious, always checking in to see how were were feeling. I'm not going to repeat all the comments from the 5 star reviews, but if you read them, you will get a sense that this is not your normal "eat and look at stuff" food tour and that you will be greatly rewarded with a satisfying experience that has a lot of depth. The kudos from the other reviews are spot on in their praise. Pace yourself with the bites as there are a lot of different stops and tastes. This tour takes you away from the skyscrapers and typical sightseeing tours and brings you in for a cultural introduction via food, senses, and history. You'll leave with an greater understanding of Singapore and its rich diversity. Two thumbs up!This food tour was nothing short of amazing! This food tour was nothing short of amazing! We thought we saw it all in Singapore as this was the last day of our trip, but we were wrong! This tour took us through so many different neighborhoods, parts of the city unknown, and had us try foods we may have been nervous to try previously. And to top it off, Daryl was a of to answer any and all questions we threw at him with a smile on his face. He couldn’t be more entertaining and knowledgeable as a guide and made the tour that much more perfect! We will be sure to send any friends or family to Hello Singapore!Daryl took us on a journey through the three distinct areas of Singaporean cuisine. Daryl took us on a journey through the three distinct areas of Singaporean cuisine. We got to try a variety of foods and beverages such as Bak Chang, Katong Laksa, Kopi, Murtabak, Kaya toast and eggs and many more. I Definitely recommend not to eat before this tour as you pretty much have access to an unlimited amount of food. I think this tour is perfect for people who are first timers to Singapore and I recommend you do this sooner rather than later in your stay so you can identify areas you might want to visit again later. The Hello Singapore team was great to deal with prior to the booking, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Singapore. We had a wonderful, full day, private historical and food tour this week. We had a wonderful, full day, private historical and food tour this week. Our guide, Su Ling, we a wealth of information about Singapore, its history, its people and - of course - its food. She managed to keep our attention all day long with her background information and quizzes. And she took us to nearly every culture's center to try the various food types. By the end of the day we were stuffed - with both food and information. Thanks, Su Ling, for a wonderful day!
