Such an amazing day! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a day trip and something different from the hustle & bustle of Marrakesh There was excellent communication from Jamal before the tour started answering all questions promptly over email The tour started with me & my wife being picked up in the main square and it was a 1.5 hour scenic drive to the mountains When we got to the town next to the mountains, we were picked up by our guide Ahmed Zin who was a great guide. He took us around the town and into the maintains. He explained the history of the town and answered all of our questions in depth. Ahmed told us some very interesting stories and asked us how long we would like to trek for and if we’d like to see anything in particular. We were greeted by so many friendly locals during the walk The hike ended with a delicious lunchThis is a great tour to do with young kids. Provided food is also excellent. Highly recommended tour. Thanks

This review is for a day trip and hike in the Atlas mountains. We are leisurely hikers that typically do easy-moderate hikes in LA. If you are looking for some nature and a way to be a little more active on your visit in Marrakesh, I highly recommend this awesome experience. Our trek guide, Hassan, was very experienced and was very kind and helpful to help us manage our energy ( lots of water breaks!) Our day included: - Pick up from our riad in Marrakesh - Private comfortable and clean van with AC and great driver - On the drive, we stopped at a couple scenic view points on the way to imlil valley (1st berber village, 2nd women owned co-op for argan oil products, Kasbah Tamadot stop, river/mountain views). Didn't spend more than 5-10minutes at each stop. The drive was delightful and gorgeous. It made us more more excited for what is to come. - When we arrived to the village, the Atlas Trekking company owner greeted us and explained our hike options (1, 2, 3 or 4 hours). He explained the level of difficulty for each, what you'll see and the terrain for each option - We felt adventurous and chose the 3 hour hike. This included a stop at the waterfalls, lots of uphill. Then lots of downhill of course. The mountain views are amazing!! - The end of hike included a home cooked meal that was so delicious. We were obsessed with the vegetables - Lastly, drop off at our hotel Tips: - Bring proper trekking shoes, hat, water bottle, sunscreen. - stretch beforehand - bring cash for buying a snack and tips (hiking guide, the cook, driver)Just a perfect day! We were picked up right on time and safely taken up to the mountains and stopped off to take a look in an Argan oil cooperative. Just a perfect day! We were picked up right on time and safely taken up to the mountains and stopped off to take a look in an Argan oil cooperative. Once we reached Imlil we met our walking guide Mohammed and traveled to a waterfall and then up through the valleys and villages. Mohammed was happy to take our questions and explained points of interest. He was also perfectly happy to just let us walk and appreciate the quiet - which was welcome after a couple of days in the chaotic souks of Marrakech! We also stopped for lunch at a Berber house for salad, bread, chicken tajine and fruit. We then walked back to Imlil, said our goodbyes and we're ferried back to our riad pleasantly exhausted from the four or so hours of mountain walking. If we're ever back in Morocco we will definitely book another trip with High Atlas Trekking - probably an overnight or three day trek!Fantastic day hike that worked perfectly from the very start. Fantastic day hike that worked perfectly from the very start. We were collected from a prearranged pick up point near our Riad at exactly the scheduled time, excellent drive to Imlil and then started our trek from Imlil. Lovely walk through trees lower down, more exposed higher up but our guide (Lehkson?) was very considerate and helpful. Lovely lunch on the way up, I was too hot by the time we reached the col and needed a rest but my husband made the summit. Good descent and lovely cool visit to a waterfall made an excellent end to the day. Very professional throughout. My tour with Moha was great! We spend a great day in his village and had a great lunch there! I can highly recommend the day tour and the hospitality of Moha and his friends!
