This day trip was my favorite of all the excursions offered by Othentic. Abdallah was an excellent guide and allowed us the pace we needed to climb the steep streets and take in all the views. He also kindly took a lot of photos of us, assuring that we went away with many family group pics. I enjoyed the very old and historic tea shop. We were able to rest there for a while, which I appreciated and enjoyed.I had an extraordinary experience with our tour guide, Abdulah, during our trip to Tunis. I had an extraordinary experience with our tour guide, Abdulah, during our trip to Tunis. He expertly guided us to scenic spots like the Medina, the Baths of Antoninus, the ruins of Carthage, and the beautiful Sidi Boussaid, not to mention the fantastic seafood we enjoyed at La Goulet. Abdullah’s knowledge and engaging conversation made our trip even more impressive. He gave us an understanding of the historical and cultural significance of each place we visited, unveiling his intelligence and passion for the subject. Abdullah’s driving skills were particularly admirable, especially given the challenging traffic conditions in the busy Tunisian capital. Her knowledge kept us safe and comfortable throughout the trip, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. In addition to his driving and sailing skills, Abdullah went above and beyond by helping us negotiate prices in the busy Medina. His local knowledge and language skills were invaluable in securing the best deals and enhancing our shopping experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Abdullah as a tour guide. His informative conversations, excellent drive, and willingness to help in any way make him a standout for anyone looking for Tunis.Great opportunity to see a little more of the country. Great opportunity to see a little more of the country. We saw the Medina in Tunis, the Baths of Antoninus and Carthage ruins, Sidi Bousaid , and assorted other opportunities for beautiful panoramic views etc. We had a satisfying and tasty lunch on the beach-front. Our driver/guide Abdallah was instantly engaging, informative, and we felt in safe hands throughout, on the erratic north Tunisian roads. The car was clean and comfortable. We were left free to explore as we wished and we weren’t hurried. All in all an excellent day out. Would recommend. Was keen to see Sidi Bou Said as it looked so pretty in the photographs - the reality was completely different. Built on a steep hill and accessed from an absolutely packed car park where tourist buses stood cheek by jowl. Very uncomfortable and the temp was in the 30s......couldn't stand far away enough from anything to get a good pic....also, access from the car park to the main street was through the local Souk, with only enough wiggle room between the stalls for one abreast. To have taken the photograph that accompanies this Trip Detail the photographer would have had to clear the street. Having been and not seen much more than people's shoulders I would think very carefully before attempting to visit again. Perhaps if you could access a tour that commenced very early in the morning that might help.
