This tour is a unique combination of the Brittany American Cemetery near St James, where we will pay our respects to the fallen and then you will have free leisure time at the Mont Saint Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site to soak up cultural and religious history.

At the cemetery, we will be able to pay our respects to the 4400 American soldiers, sailors and airmen who are laid to rest, as well as the 900 who are listed on the Wall of the Missing. If you have a relative who is buried here, please let me know in advance so we can notify the ABMC of our visit.

It is the region's star attraction since pilgrims first flocked here 1000 years ago, it now draws almost three million visitors each year and had only 40 true inhabitants.

Excellent private day tour from Bayeux to the Brittany American Cemetery and Mont St. Michel. Our small group included the granddaughter of one of the heroes buried at the Brittany Cemetery. Our guide for the day, Mike van den Dobbelsteen, was wonderful. He did research in advance of our tour to familiarize himself with some of the details of the grandfather's experience and even went out of his way to take us to some of the locations where his unit saw action. Mike provided great insights to help us gain some perspective of the fighting which occurred in the area. Mike accompanied us on a brief next-of-kin graveside ceremony provided by the staff at the Brittany Cemetery. His patience and respect for the heroes resting at the cemetery were obvious. Mike also provided recommendations for touring Mont St. Michel which were helpful in navigating the popular site. Overall an incredible experience. Our family tour to Brittany American Cemetery and Mont Saint Michel was perfect but also emotional. Our guide, Mike, was pleasant and very knowledgeable. He picked us from our hotel on time and took us to Brittany American Cemetery and than helped us (with a lot of sensitivity) to locate the name on the wall of our relative who fought in 2nd world war with American Air Force and was missing in action, so we could honor and respect his memory. When in Normandy or Brittany we strongly recommend Viator and their guide Mike.995tm

On a trip to Paris, we decided to stay a couple of nights in Bayeux to tour Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery and Mont St Michel. When I contacted Mike to tell him what we really wanted to see, he immediately put together an itinerary to accommodate our wish list. On the day of our tour, Mike picked us up at our AirBnB in Bayeux, found us coffee lol, and we were on our way to begin our tour. Everything was perfectly planned, and Mike is extremely knowledgeable in WWII history. It was the perfect tour and I would recommend Mike and Allied Victory to anyone who is traveling to the area. Also, the van was extremely clean and comfortable. I cannot say enough to express how much we enjoyed this tour. Thank you Mike! We enjoyed everything.
