We cannot say enough about the Walk in Granada offerings, and our wonderful guide, Jennifer C. The company is easy to communicate and plan with. Pedro in the main office listened to our special goals to explore Old Granada, the Albayzín, the older Arab/ Moorish quarter, & the Alhambra complex itself with a focus on the historical and cultural transitions of this magnificent city dating back to before Siglo VII up thru today. Jennifer, an archaeological scholar and very warm and relatable companion exceeded our expectations. She tailor fit our exploration of old Granada in the morning segment and provided a rich and textured educational foundation for what we would behold later in the day at the Alhambra, linking the old city itself and its trade activities in the Moorish era up through the medieval realities and political and cultural forces at play then and now, in our minds and imaginations of the past. She was prompt to collect us from our hotel lobby in the morning and we enjoyed a part cab/mostly walking examination of the old city plus the Albayzín with plenty of time to stop and take in the unique and idiosyncratic architecture, art & science curiosities and modern moments that hit you in Granada. We broke at lunch time and rested up to be greeted by Jennifer again in our lobby at around 5:00 pm for a leisurely and beautiful narrated walk through the Generalife gardens at the Alhambra with a grand finale walk through the magnificent Palacio Nazrid as the sun was casting a beautiful red sunset light over the gorgeous walls, patios, inscriptions, fountains, and naves of the Palace. Jennifer provided a casual and relaxed, but stimulating description of what we were beholding and was very positive and encouraged when we had questions and observations. Her handling of the expert subject matter for our very lay audience was wonderful. We could visualize the life of the sultans and the commoners and we. Ame to understand the medieval and Renaissance movements of the various successive royals of Spain as well as those chance ancient moments that can change destiny. We are not tour types, at ALL. But, oh how we loved this tour. Delighted that we enlisted Jennifer to be our partner in discovery of the most beautiful and historically rich European hill city we’ve ever seen, the mighty Alhambra. And Granada past to present. Without her leadership, I feel we would have missed out on understanding and appreciation of easily 75% of the most significant and special things Granada and the Alhambra have to offer. I should add that Walk in Granada is very skilled and adept at modifying walks and tours for mobility impaired visitors and wheelchair users. They handled every detail. A beautiful day in Granada that we will never forget. Don’t hesitate. Contact them and share your intellectual and historical curiosities and goals. Let them design a day of beauty and experiential learning for you and your traveling companions. Ask for Jennifer. 5 stars. We did a great free walking tour with Pedro. He showed us the nicest viewing points, got us through the narrow streets of the albaicin and told some great stories about the cities history.

We have been to Granada previously and visited Alhambra so we've decided to skip it this time. Our guide Nacho first discussed where he recommended us to go at the beginning of the tour and took us around. The pace of the tour was really manageable and he was very knowledgeable for the history of Granada and offered some excellent insight from many different historical perspective. He also suggested some of the additional places we can visit on our own and good local restaurants to dine in. It was a great tour. We highly recommended others to seek him out.
