Private Kauai Island Tour-A taste of the South & West
Overview
We offer hotel (south and east only) and harbor pick up and drop off.
This tour is offered by a small family owned business that has been operating on Kauai since 2013. Our guides are passionate about sharing their love for Kauai with our visitors, and giving them a fun filled day.
A total of 8 stops will be made, including 4 stops at the famous mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific, the powerful Spouting horn-an extinct lava tube that became a water blow hole, and more. Sample a mid morning snack at a local bakery, enjoy an ocean front lunch at a historic plantation, and have many amazing picture opportunities while you soak in the culture and history of the islands.
Take the day off from driving and let us show you Kauai through local eyes.

What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Kukui Grove, 3-2600 Kaumualii Hwy, Lihue, Kauai, HI 96766-2040
Get ready to start your day with a local treat; fresh baked goodies. We will take you to one of these bakeries depending on which one is open on the day of your tour, Kauai Bakery or Midnight Bear Bakery.
Duration: 25 minutes
Stop At: Spouting Horn, South Shore, Poipu, Koloa, Kauai, HI
This stunning natural beauty is the product of a now extinct volcano; a water blow hole in sunny Poipu, where you will experience the power of nature as the water spouts several feet up in the air, caused by the influx of the ocean waves. On our way there we will drive through the famous Tree tunnel.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Hanapepe Valley Lookout, Kaumualii Hwy, Hanapepe, Kauai, HI 96741
This beautiful verdant valley is the perfect preamble to the Waimea Canyon. It is partially owned by the Robinson family and the home of Jurassic falls. We will stop here for about 5-10 minutes to take pictures.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Hanapepe, Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawaii
Historic Hanapepe town was revitalized after World War II and turned into an artsy haven. Here you will be able to walk across the swinging bridge that crosses the Hanapepe River, built in 1912, visit art galleries, a very cool and quirky book store, shop for locally made souvenirs and crafts, and if you love Lilo and Stich we have a little surprise. Hanapepe is a charming town that preserves the charm of the old sugar plantation days in its architecture, and laid back vibe.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Waimea Plantation Cottages, 9400 Kaumualii Hwy, Waimea, HI 96796, USA
Step back in time into a renovated sugar plantation from 1912.
Here we will enjoy delicious lunch, ocean front and take you on a lovely walk to famous Waimea Bay, where the first Western man, Captain Cook, first set foot in the Hawaiian Islands. This is also one of Kauai's few black sand beaches.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Waimea Canyon State Park, Waimea Canyon Dr, Waimea, Kauai, HI 96796
Get ready to marvel at the mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific, the highlight of our day and one of the most beautiful places on kauai. We will be making 4 stops here including the main lookout, Waipo'o Falls and Pu'uhinahina. We will have ample time at each location to take amazing pictures of different angles of the Canyon. Bathroom stops will be available throughout most of the park.
Duration: 2 hours

We did a small group tour from Kapaa round to Waimea Canyon with Coco from Kauai Soul Travel. Stops included Poipu Beach, Spouting Horn, and Hanapepe , home to the swinging bridge. I felt like I knew Coco so well already when she arrived to pick us up. In my quest to have everything precise we had been corresponding by email and WhatsApp since March. Luckily she is a patient calm person. We had to change dates and she refunded fast and rebooked us efficiently. The vehicle was clean, the air conditioning spot on and Coco provided cold water bottles. Her driving was safe which was comforting when we are used to driving on the other side of the road. The tour felt like travelling with a family member or friend. Lots of laughter, great legend telling and Coco was a wealth of historical and current local knowledge. She captured great photos of us and for us. She also gave us some ideas (not for her tours) for places to visit and restaurants to try, just because I asked. Would definitely recommend Kauai Soul Travel. We felt the tour we did was excellent value for money. If we are every lucky enough to visit Kauai again we would definitely take another tour to somewhere different with Kauai Soul Travel. We had an amazing private tour as part of celebrating our honeymoon. Coco was incredible helping our family make sure we had the tour experience all lined up even going so far as giving us tips on the days that we weren't touring with them. Shasta was amazing on our tour. SO FUN! She felt like family from moment one. She was very informative and made our experience absolutely memorable. We would easily book with Kauai Soul Travel again. They know what they are doing without a doubt and do not just see you as a 'tourist'. They literally treat you like family. Words cannot express how wonderful they are and how much our family appreciates them. Mahalo nui loa and a hui hou.
