Stop At: Archaeological Site of Olympia, Archea Olympia, Olympia 27065 Greece
In the archeological site, among several other remains of important buildings, you will see the gymnasium and the palaestra, the round Philipeion, the workshop of Phidias where the gold and ivory statue of Zeus was built, the temples of Zeus and Hera, the altar where the Olympic torch is being lit in the modern days and the ancient Olympic stadium.

It was a super hot day, but Niki made sure we stayed in the shade as much as possible. She taught us a lot of fun facts and really helped us to picture what it might have been like if we were there at the beginning of the Olympics. I highly recommend this tour.Niki was punctual, personable, and knowledgable. She communicated well with us prior to meeting up for the tour and the information she provided enhanced our appreciation of the site. She also arranged guides for us at Meteora and Knossos.
