We planned to do our own walking tour, but opted for a guided walking tour instead. I am very happy we decided go this route and am extremely happy we ended up having Sarwan as our guide. The city is not very big, but its dense and filled with interesting things. Sarwan provided a local’s spin on the main spots of the tour called out in the itinerary, but also the places in between. Since our tour guide was a local, we had a lot of interaction with the locals, which made our experience very memorable. You could tell Sarwan had a lot of pride of where he was from and the positive energy and his friendliness was felt throughout the tour. He talked about some repeat customers he had and now I know why. If you’re looking for something to do in the Maldives prior to leaving for a resort or guest house you may be staying at on another island, I highly recommend this tour. This private tour is worthy! He is very talkative with all the information including history of Maldives that you might want to know or curious about. If you ask a question, Sarwan will provide a full scope of report or a 100 pages of “paper” to fulfill your curiosity. We are so glad to have him around and showed us all the “must to see” spots in Male. Thanks! It was a great tour as we had a chance to ask a lot of questions about life in Maldives and visit Male just before our flight departure. Thank you, Sarwan!
