Our guide was Kenneth Martinez. The weather was not welcoming, but we saw two sloths, a mother and a baby, right on our way out of the tour's main establishment. We saw toucans, a viper Lora Venonosa, lizards, a very rare red-eye frog and others. The tour took 2 hours, but the hike wasn't difficult or challenging. Overall, very enjoyable experience. We had an amazing experience on our night hike! It began with coffee and pastries before we began, and then we embarked on our 8pm tour! We had an amazing experience on our night hike! It began with coffee and pastries before we began, and then we embarked on our 8pm tour! We were in a group of four which was a great size - they break you up into small groups for more attention. Tony was our guide, and he was FANTASTIC. He had tremendous eyesight in spotting animals, he was very welcoming and accommodating - sharing info about the area and the animals, and he was incredibly passionate about what we saw. He helped take AMAZING photos for all of the animals we saw which included a possum, viper, tarantula, toucan, frog, and kinkajou! We would highly recommend!Kenneth was an incredible guide on our night tour. Kenneth was an incredible guide on our night tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about all of the plants and animals in the forest and we were able to spot so many on his tour including a giant stick bug, two sleeping toucans (my personal favorite!), a pair of tiny frogs, and much more! He was also very skilled at taking pictures for us through his telescope of the animals we found (see below). As a bird enthusiast, I was also very impressed with his knowledge of the birds of costa rica in particular. Although we (nor any of the other many groups on tours that night) were not able to find a sloth, he was willing to spend time looking for one as we let him know that was important to us. Kenneth was kind, friendly, patient, and I cannot recommend him enough for anyone interested in a night tour!Me and my partner went for a private evening hike in the dark and it was amazing. Me and my partner went for a private evening hike in the dark and it was amazing. Kenneth was a really good guide with lots of wildlife experience, he knew where to look for all the exotic animals we were interested in seeing and told us a lot about what we saw which increased the total experience a lot. We saw snakes, tarantellas, ants, toucans sleeping monkeys etc. Overall a fantastic experience and definitely something I would recommend. Cheers, Eric
