Wilson drove us from Cuenca to Guayaquil by way of Cajas National Park and a small cacao farm. He was knowledgeable and accommodating. I would recommend him as a guide and a driver. 5 stars out of 5.

Party of 9, including 5 kids and luggage. Had a great experience taking this ride. Our driver was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, punctual..., and more than anything, safe. Vehicle was or at least looked brand new and well maintained. We didn't take the tour to El Cajas, but only needed transportation from our hotel in Guayaquil to the hotel in Cuenca. Driver picked us up even before the pre-arranged time and made a couple of stops for lunch and sightseeing. We also used this same service/driver to take us to the Devil's Nose train ride in Alausí, and we experienced the same results. Definitely a better alternative to taking the regular bus service between cities. Yes, it is more expensive, but believe me, well worth it. Will use this same service on my future travels to the area.We hired CuencaBestours for a transfer from Guayaquil to Cuenca with a stop at El Cajas National Park on the way. We hired CuencaBestours for a transfer from Guayaquil to Cuenca with a stop at El Cajas National Park on the way. This was a very nice way to transfer between the two locations. Our driver, Sebastian, arrived in the morning on time and off we went. Sebastian speaks excellent English (he in fact studied in the U.S.) and is very familiar with the places along the way (he is from Cuenca). We stopped at a small cocoa farm, then for lunch at a restaurant with good food and a nice view (I forgot the name of it), then went to El Cajas National Park. There, we did a hike around the lake (Laguna Toreadora) for about 3 miles at an elevation of more than 13,000 feet. This was our first semi-extensive hike at such a high elevation, and it was a great way to explore the equatorial highlands. We then arrived in Cuenca in the afternoon without incidents. With a friendly and knowledgeable guide and interesting activities, I highly recommend this service for anyone who needs a transfer between the two cities and is not in a hurry.Excellent service. Excellent service. Our driver, Sebastian, collected us on time from our hotel. His car was new, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sebastian is a great driver, very careful which was a relief as there was some cloud during our ride. We stopped at a small holding outside Guyaquil to see some cocoa trees and other local plants. Sebastian was friendly and well informed and we learned a lot from our discussions of Ecuadorean history, etc during the drive. Delicious lunch in a café overlooking a gorge, a short walk in the National Park - beautiful lakes and lovely birds and flowers. Our trip from Guayaquil to Cuenca with Geovanny was perfect. He picked us up at our hotel (a family of 4 with luggage) and the whole thing was smooth. The road was relentlessly steep and incredibly foggy, but Geovanny was professional and careful and even the most easily scared in our party was relaxed and felt safe. When we arrived in Cuenca, there was a lot of traffic because of the Christmas Eve parade, but he figured out how to deliver us to our door anyway. In addition, Javier, on the phone, was extremely helpful, including adjusting the pickup time when I made a scheduling mistake. Highly recommend.Absolutely perfect way to get from Cuenca to Guayaquil! Steven was my driver and was absolutely fantastic, let me practice my Spanish as much as I could and pointed out cool things to see during the trip. Highly recommend.
