We had originally hoped to take the ferry from Ålesund to Geiranger, but it was not available during our visit to Norway. We looked at taking a short fjord cruise out of Ålesund, but it did not go very far into the fjord. We could have rented a car, but the price and stress levels would have been high. Luckily we found this guided tour given by Igvars. This was without a doubt the best guided tour we have ever had. We have used a number of other private guides on trips we planned ourselves, but none of the other guides were so thoughtful, enthusiastic and pleasant. Igvars watched over us like a parent, shielded us from crowds, provided snacks and advised us regarding how to see the best sights. I had feared that a driving tour of Geiranger Fjord would only let us see the fjord from on high. Igvars planned a route that involved multiple short ferry rides through the beautiful parts of the fjord. As a result, we saw the fjord from both the water and on high. In short, Geiranger Fjord was the most beautiful fjord we visited in Norway, and Igvar’s tour was the best guided tour we have ever had. My wife and I both felt that this was tour was well worth its price.I can’t describe how wonderful this tour was! Margita was the best guide! She was so nice and cool and super knowledgeable!
